Morning TAN!  I voted this morning and there was no line!  And I got free coffee at Starbuck's with the voting sticker.

So far, I am having a great day.

No free doughnut? Why do you hate America?

I had no idea there were free donuts, too.  Plus, the only Krispy Kreme in Richmond is kind of a pain to get to.

There is free ice cream at Ben and Jerry's.

Yep... The people at our polling place were handing out coffee, tea, doughnuts and cookies. The Obama people were handing out water, juice and granola bars. McCain people hadn't shown up yet. It was a smorgasbord.

I give props to the Obama folks for handing out healthy snacks

Free stuff for just people who vote? Isn't that against the law or something?
Yep... That is why it is just free stuff... They can't deny handing it out to you or use it as an inticement to vote.
So I can see why they might do it at a polling place but why would Starbucks and Ben & Jerry's do it?

They just asked at Starbuck's.  Didn't have to show proof.

And Ben and Jerry's have said it's for everyone from 5 - 8.

While potentially true, the whole boiling-bunnies factor is a deal breaker at this point.
