Wait I missed something. Saturday afternoon Keri and I were out in the yard, she was pitching, I was catching. She throws hard. Saturday she thew the hardest I've seen her yet. She threw a ball so fast it scared me. Sunday morning I went out and bought myself some catcher's gear. Sooner or later I'm going to get hurt if I don't have it.

Ok, here's my weekend...

Saturday morning Keri and I went for a 2 mile run. We waited a little too long to go, it was getting warm, but we got it done. When we got home I changed clothes, I was pretty sweaty, but didn't shower. Then I went out and worked in both the veggie and flower garden. I scrubbed out the horses trough in the barn. I helped Donnie replace some boards on our front porch. And I cleaned up the garage a bit. I was filthy. I needed to go to walmart though, and I was very tempted to go covered in gunk like I was, I would fit in. I hate Walmart by the way.

Late Saturday afternoon they did hay. I can't tell you how nervous, and proud I was watching Caleb drive a tractor across the hill with a full wagon of hay on the back.

I didn't feel like making dinner, so Keri and I debated where to go. We called in an order to a place about 20 minutes away, they said it would be 40 minutes. We ran in town, ordered Caleb a pizza, and sat and waited for that. We ran the pizza home to him, went and picked up our food. She ate on the way to another place a few miles down the road where we stood in a forever long line to get ice cream.

Then we came home and crashed for the night.

You always amaze me with how much activity you can pack in!    Also good for Caleb!  another milestone

We do run pretty ragged on the weekends. There isn't much downtime around our house.

Good Morning!  We had a nice weekend.  Actually got to drive the hotrod.  Whoo hoo!!!  It sure does get the looks!

For Father's Day, Larry's daughter & granddaughter went to lunch with us, then to look around at a car show, then daughter and I took him to buy a new shop vac.  He was very happy!  Then he took a long nap while I went for a run.  Good day!

Getting the hotrod onto the road does make for a great weekend.

It's about time you got some catchers gear.  It seems that you get hurt each time you catch for the girls.

Those hits have been minor. If I got hit in the face, or the chest it could be BAD!

Good morning Ghoulies!

Keri had a great day at camp. She was tired, hot, and sweaty, but she talked non-stop the whole way home and is already talking about going back next year.

Morning Ghoulies

Sounds like everyone had great weekends! I did too,

Two families of friends came and stayed and we laughed a lot, stayed up too late, talked too  much and almost had too much fun.

Yesterday was recovery day.

Today is off to training and catch up on work.

Dee, sounds like hubbie is on the right track with his diabetis and getting it under control. Isn't irritating that men can use less tootpaste when they brush their teeth and lose weight?

So, what happened to your employee, Kendra?

Ann- Sounds like fun times with the kiddos. It is hard to start to let go, you will get through it. But that is later on.. no worries right now.

Have great days all.

Good morning Ghoulies!  All worked out with the three employees involved in yesterdays closing of the window shade.  Now, hoping they will all behave like adults and work together, or I may just have to close my shade again.

Lots of library crap going on.  they fired the director last week citing "no cause".  I just really want to get out of the system right now.  Do not like the board and what they are trying to do.  Just really wrong.

Good morning Ghoulies!

Must have been a rough day at camp yesterday. When I went to pick up Keri there were several girls on crutches, limping, or holding ice packs on body parts. The girls looked tired, too. Today is the last full day, then tomorrow is a partial day.

Keri is tired, and has several blisters on her feet. I bandaged her up before her softball game last night, well at least the ones she told me about. After her shower I was looking at her feet and she had several more open blisters. She's all patched up for today, and I gave her some body glide and told her how to rub it all over her feet before she puts on her socks this morning.

Wow, sounds like a full contact day. Is Keri still liking it? Camp is fun. Especially the over night part... if it is a good camp.

Yes, she is still having fun. She is already talking about going next year and spending the night. We will have to wait and see if the overnight part happens or not. She is disappointed that softball camp next week is only from 9-11:30, she really likes eating in the cafeteria.

I think the injuries are because the girls are getting tired. They ALL looked tired yesterday. I picked Keri up, and took her to her softball game. She changed clothes in the car on the way there. I'm glad she wasn't pitching last night, but she did catch for 5 innings. The girls won, but she struck out, was out on a pop-up, and walked once.

Up to a point, tired kids are good kids. Too tired and they end up being hurt kids. If the camp is good, being overnight in a controlled place with kids that are interested in the same thing can be a great experience.

How is running training going? I am behind (as ususal) on mine. and I have to run up a mountain this weekend. EEEEKKK!!

I'm supposed to be training??!!??!!

It's not going as smoothly as I'd hoped. Infrequent short runs does not a marathon runner make. I need to get more consistency! I need to be doing some longer than 3 mile runs, too.

Morning Ghoulies

Tell Keri to rock it today, Ann.

Jim is gone for a couple of days in Indianapolis. I was hoping to go to the garage and toss some things out while he is gone. It is looking like I need to do my own chores that I have been avoiding for the past 3 weeks. Well, not really avoiding, but either being out of town or having company. Non the less, I have some yard work to do.
