But I am so glad that it did go well.. i guess i went into it apprehension cuz i was under the impression that were issues that they wanted to address. i made room for them to address....asking, 'are there any issues that would make it difficult for us to move forward?' if they are any, they didnt care to mention them. and they were both really, really nice to me. not that they havent been in the past. they've always been, its just....well the circumstances. not sure why that surprises me, but they were and i was and its all good. stacieb i guess its true what ive been saying all along.... WE GET TO DECIDE HOW THIS ALL PLAYS OUT. and if my (our) intention is that things are going to go a certain way, that certain 'tone' is going to be set - one of cooperation and good-will and mutual respect (because THIS is what children need to see modeled for them) then that's what dictates how things will move forward. never underestimate the POWER of INTENTION. that and the fact that i NEVER bought into the script that we have to be WARRING SIDES. that we could move forward reasonably and amicably. i even mentioned it to J. parents tonight, we actually have the potential of having a better relationship in the future seperate that we could've ever had together. i really am hopeful for that. though i dont have 100% control over that....never have....never will. we'll just have to wait and see how THAT plays out. stacieb stacieb Glad to hear the conversation went well. With your attitude and approach I'm sure things will work out well for you and your family. |

I know its late but, my logs filled out and I think I've got plenty of time for meet these goals. Ryan Well our group is more of a group and less of a challenge. We have been together since we were put on the same challenge team in October. The group of us here just sort of clicked and have stayed together. Every month we pick a goal to work for, more or less. We are less interested in logs, and more interested in the spirit of each individual... and margarita's. So we are less of a challenge group than the others. There is a Team A and Team B right now that are the actual challenge groups. I'm not sure what the platform is this month but if you contact D001 she usually runs the groups and could put you on a team if you ask. The challenges generally start the beginning of the month. Usually the last week of a month you will see something here in the challenge forum about the next challenge. Ann(e) - Ryan is one of our Mentees FYI Ryan, do you mean the ironman challenge?? Sure...we are basically all just seeing how many full ironmans we can complete in a month...Neal has one down already...I'm done 2IM's worth of swimming and 1 run...and the bike is only halfway so far :S haha...We don't really keep track of one anothers mileage! Just let us know when you have completed an IM this month total! We trust you!....these challenges are just an excuse to stay together haha the big monthy challenges are a bit different...and you would have to get ahold of D001 to get in on that action (this month is a four-is-more challenge...so swim, bike, run and one other thing of your own choosing! I think that at the rate I'm going this month, I might actually finish two 5k's, LOL. Maybe someone will take pitty on me and gift me some of their miles. Neal??? Bill??? My excess miles will be up for grabs to any ghoulie. I'm a giver like that |

ARE YOU FRIGGING KIDDING ME???? i was mortified. wth? Oh my Queen - you are going to be so sore!!! Spin Boot Camp - Interesting Spin on it. I have just done boot camp. You will be wishing for pushups after 8 count body builders or walking lunges around the gym or whatever else torture they come up with. keep me posted I would love to hear how they combined the 2 activities!!! thanks mr w. graves. for those words of encouragement. i REALLY appreciate it (she says, words dripping w sarcasm) LOVE ya BABE. mwah. stacieb Queen, I only speak words of warning. You have to understand where I am coming from. I dreaded going to the Y because boot camp is m-w-f. I get there will plans of walking by the class and doing my own thing and I find out our instructor is on vacation. Can you say Thank God!!!!!!!! I was so happy I did a dance - LOL so wait. im confused. you take boot camp. or you dont take boot camp. please clarify. AND....though i have no experience taking SPIN boot camp (yes, it will be interesting to see how in the world they combine the two) i have had experience taking ONE 'regular' boot camp class. i VOWED i would never walk into that fitness studio EVER again, i was sore as ALL GET OUT. in fact, it took me longer to recover from THAT class than it did from my fall 1/2 marathon. course im in the class thinking i was A BAD AZZED TRI ENDURANCE ATHLETE....it was the Plyos more than anything else that just SMASHED me. believe me, i KNOW what im in for. and that's why im OUT OF MY SCARED S-H-I- YOU KNOW WHAT LESS. BUT.... NOTHING VENTURED NOTHING GAINED. and like i said, I (WILL) ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS train to my limiters. even though its gonna SUCK/HURT LIKE HELL. stacieb I took it over the winter once my leg healed up. It got to the point when I just hated doing it because it hurt so much and I "BELIEVE" I am in pretty good shape. This lady kicked my A$$ all over the gym and back. She even called me out one day for sandbagging on the weight of weights and bands I was using - LOL. I told her I am 43 and I am totally comfortable with my body. I believe in Long and Slow not short and Fast (And Yes Ann(e) all areas of my life!!! In case you were curious - LOL) I will tell you one thing - I am stronger today because of it. Mostly Fast Twitch type stuff but I know she helped me and I will give her credit and gratitude when I kick TransIowa's A$$ in 2 weeks! That being said I will never return (at least for the time being because I ride most of the time!) Please give me the low down on Spin Boot Camp though when you get it. I will be very interested in hearing how they incorporate it. I have some ideas but want to hear the horror of it all!!! - LOL X2!! |
