From my blog:

My daughter C has earned blog worthy mention here....Somehow her English class was discussing Lance Armstrong today.  She commented o his bike--by brand (Trek) then went into a big discussion about bike brands...mentioned BLUE's then made the class look them up on the web...then goes into why Lance didn't have Zipp wheels which they didn't get and had to look up on the web....even into bike porn and the urinal water bottles.  OMG....we have a real tri kid here

added: she even discussed the merits of aero bars   It makes a mom proud

It cracks me up...she even got roped into talking about bike porn at which time the 7th grade admin person walked into the room and almost suspended her....She then had to explain it and the admin busted up laughing.

She ran with me tonight too....

Maybe she'll be interested in it one day.  Or a duathlon.

You swim fine!  It's the cold open water that's a problem.  Conveniently, you live in Virginia and it's not a problem most of the year.

She hates it, rode with me last summer and whined the whole time...and we only did about 8 miles together.  (she was on a comfortable hybid too, not the skinny roadie, she's afraid of the skinny tiers and seats)

Well I have to take time off... that much is clear... I have ridiculous amounts of leave owing - although I did cheekily tell them it meant I LOVE my job! Which is actually true

The only thing is I will miss coming to work and having people to talk tour and bikes with...

Im thinking about maybe taking the second two weeks and the week after off if they will let me do that... then I have a week talking Tour and a week on holidays where Im not super tired...

The thing is I would LOVE to take a 3 week holiday... but I dont have the cash to afford to go anywhere...
