I disagree. There has been talk of shoes.......... also how to get over injuries... That counts oh, there was also a question about blisters. I wear a type of socks (can't remember the name just now) that GUARANTEES no blisters. They work |

I have only a jacket that is not very breathable nor is it very water resistant. Neal seems to be happy with his rain gear. Will have to find out what he has. YEA NEIL.. you need to share some wisdom here.. |

Way to dig deep and push to keep going. And look, you got rewarded with lucky 7s!! There's some good runs in your future. I can a feeeeeeel it!!! i dont care if my four remaining runs are UGLY as all get out (well. i do but....) just as long as the November 1st run is a good one. NEAL, can you hook a girl up? an UBER GOOD run on NOVEMBER 1ST, pwease, oh pweeeeeease. stacieb I try and send you some good juju. But if you have followed the plan and gotten the training in you have already set yourself up to have a GREAT race. Trust in yourself. You're going to do awesome!! |

I moved into a new apartment in the beginning of August and have been furnitureless since. Wow, a sofa and love seat is some pretty grown up furniture. I hope you picked out something that won't clash with your bike (because we all have our bikes in the house at some point, don't we?). Well I spent the last several years after getting out of school with several roommates and hand-me-down furniture that I really didn't mind spilling food or beer on. I figured now that I'm living on my own I might as well get something nice. I did cry a little as I thought about how the money could be going to a new bike instead well you can always dream about that new bike....while resting on the new couch!?! so why not go with lawn chairs and a NEW SHINY BIKE??? sounds like you are at work most the time anyhow!!?? or come get the couch we are donating!!! super nice...althougn not sure you want a coral colored couch!??! do you??? Believe me I thought about it. but I just bought my bike last summer so I am trying to rationalize with myself that I don't need another one yet You need to quit teasing yourself - it is cross season - go buy a cross bike. Take the furniture back and but a new bike. Priorities Neal. Furniture is for married people I like your thinking, Bill I really do. But the folding chair in the living room just wasn't cutting it anymore |

Champion 10742 Ames, IA | Subject: RE: Show us your Ghoulies - Halloween Run Challenge Page #3 wgraves7582 - 2009-10-23 8:14 AM Alright - A Bill Synopsis since I was elected without volunteering Neal got new furniture but should have bought a new bike instead. He likes his new rain gear (what type is it Neal for others who play in the rain?). He was going to do intervals while waiting for his furniture to return to buy a new bike and that is all to page 46. Jules - Put a sheet together and it keeps getting adjusted because we (you guys) are a running foolish team Stacie - Holy Cow can she talk. No stress but still likes chewy candy. Has a 1/2 mary coming up with PA, OH, and YMCA Peeps - she is very popular. Kids are the only ones that got sick (so far and hopefully it stays that way!) Bill - MIA Ann - Feeling a little better. Defended her making me swim in a freezing lake but was a great towel girl - Ann you didn't sneak any peaks did you? LOL Dee - Fairly quiet or my brain is fried and I cannot remember. Tom - Had a PR - Great job. Got a sick note from Debbie. Passed 300 posts also Debbie - kept the fire going while her hubby is at a conference with 100 other IT people (snore fest right ) Kim (C) - drinking wine while keeping up - so who knows what might be said shortly! Amy - Going to bed with hubby and never found out if BT was invited or not. So we do or**es now also Jules ? Mindy - Passed a test about something I know nothing about (there is a lot of that though ) Kendra - Stopped by and is recovering from work and being sick. Welcome back Kendra. Willie - we think we scared him away! Kim (K) - Teaches at the Y also and does not like training in the raining (had to make it rhyme ) - Posted 1 whole page to herself this morning also. I know I missed a lot and I am sorry but please fire me because I know others that can do a better job of it Very nice summary Bill. We knew you had it in you Oh, the rain gear was a GoLite anorak(sp?). Basically a rain jacket with a hoodie. Pants were the same brand. |

Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: Show us your Ghoulies - Halloween Run Challenge Page #3 wgraves7582 - 2009-10-23 3:58 PM Alright I am caught up and back from the Chiro - Here is the low down on the hoe down: No hills on the bike because I like to ride Single Speed and that incorporates all the muscles and effects IT Band as well. So if I ride I have to go flat and I have to climb up my home hill very easily in a very easy spin gear. What do I think about Arizona. There is some good climbing involved once I get out of Prescott and up towards the Canyon and I need to make sure my cycling endurance stays good so I am going to work hard on the flats for the next 2 weeks to see how it goes and see once I hit the hills if my leg gets bothered or not. If not I will continue on to Arizona - if not - supplemental plan. So no cross racing for sure - I was going to sneak some in but I need this to heal! Sounds like you have a plan. I hope it works for you. (fingers crossed for the next 2 weeks). |

Champion 10742 Ames, IA | Subject: RE: Show us your Ghoulies - Halloween Run Challenge Page #3 wgraves7582 - 2009-10-23 8:26 AM I forgot to mention it - as a tease to myself I bought 2 new pair of running shoes the other night. A pair of Asics with limited support and a pair of cool looking Brooks racing shoes. I am working on going no support and possibly attempt barefoot running next spring so I figure the more flats I incorporate into my winter training will help me for that. I wish I could run. Part of me just wants to run 1-2 because my leg never flares up until 2.5 miles or more but I know that would be dumb! Don't do it Bill! You are right: D-U-M-B |
