What is causing the flooding?


Lots and lots of rain.  The past 3 nights have just been an absolute deluge.  8 inches sunday night, 4 monday, and another 4 last night.  That and we have two rivers that go through town so they are carrying all the water down from up north.  Rivers are cresting higher than they did in '93 when pretty much all of Iowa flooded

I remember '93. We had an extreme drought then, too. I watched the news and was somewhat jealous of all the rain while we watched entire forests die from no water.
