Good morning Ghoulies.  Our computer system at the library seems to have been down more than up over the last two weeks.  Driving us crazy, and I just love the customers who yell at us on the phone about it.  Don't they realize that we are just as much a victim as they are?

Good morning Ghoulies!

I had an appointment at the pain clinic yesterday afternoon. Afterwards I took the kiddos swimming at my cousin's house, it was 96 here yesterday, I couldn't get in the pool though because of the injection. Next time.

I told hubby this morning that we need to go and hang out at the pool this evening.

Morning Kendra!

No, they don't know that. They think it is an insidious plot directed specifically at them and that you refuse to fix it RIGHT NOW proves that.

Yeah.  My hubby is cracking up, asking me "don't we have a DR plan?"  Dr, doctor?  I ask.  No DR = Disaster Recovery.  I say yeah, we manually input all the info and fly blind until the computers are up.

To answer your question Robin. TP is training peaks. Just another training site that a bunch of coaches use.

LOVE it! The same person who just called my office (a government office) complaining about someone dumping out used oil bitched at me for the waste of tax payers money on government workers and how environmental regulations are ruining this country.
I cannot fathom how they cannot connect the dots.

It is a stupid people day for sure. Off to the docs office.

Have LOVELY FFFFridays!

Good morning Ghoulies!

What a weekend!

Friday afternoon they baled hay. When they were done my husband came in, took a shower, then told everyone to put their shoes on, he was taking us out to eat. We went to a tiny little ma & pa place where the only seating is outside. My son is the only one who got food, the rest of us had ice cream for dinner.

Saturday morning the kiddos mowed the yard while I helped a group of horseback riders, who were leaving from our place, get all the horses saddled and get them off. In the afternoon my daughter had a softball game. They won 7-0, they're 10-0 for the season right now. She was 2-2 at the plate. I wanted to do something Saturday evening so we went up to the lake I kayak in. We dropped my husband and daughter off on the beach side, and my son and I went around to the other side to look for the beaver dam that is in the stream coming down into the lake. We had an idea where it was so I climbed down over a downed tree looking up and down the creek for it. I told my son I didn't see anything (little did I know I was 20 feet from it, it just wasn't what I was expecting). We went back over to the other side of the lake, to see if we could rent a canoe, but it was too late in the day for any new rentals.

Sunday, after they got home from church, we had lunch, I napped while my husband and daughter went down the road to see my new grand-niece. My niece will be 30 this year and this was her fourth baby, 1 boy, 3 girls. After that they stopped at his sister's to borrow canoe paddles, then they picked us up and we headed to another house to borrow a canoe and a kayak. Then we were off to the lake. My daughter does not have much experience on the water, she'd prefer to be in it. I was in the kayak, the rest were in the canoe, and we headed around to see where the beaver dam was. It was a really nice day to be on the lake. We saw the dam, not what I was expecting it too look like, but totally cool, then we were back in the lake. They canoe riders thought they were going to splash me, but it was too easy to outrun them in the kayak. We played a little, then we headed back to where we put in the water, they all wanted to go swimming. We go to take the boats out and my son asked if he could take the kayak out, I said yes, so I watched him play a bit. When he got back my daughter asked if she could take a turn, I said yes. She took a kayak out for the first time yesterday. I help teach a beginner kayak class, I could have given her a few pointers, I just shoved her off the beach and she picked it up fast. I wouldn't let her go too far away though. We decided instead of packing up and walking over to the beach we would paddle over. I let my daughter in the kayak and she followed us over to the beach. We pulled the boats out of the way and they went over to the swimming area while I stayed with our stuff. It wasn't long and my daughter came over and asked if she could kayak, I let her take it out again, but not far. She was all smiles. When she came in my son went back out. Then she went back out again. Finally my husband took the canoe out with her and they went the whole way across the lake and back. When they got back we took everything over to the side where we put in, and we started packing up. My husband had been dead set on getting a canoe, the kids and I were going to buy him one for his birthday. He told me yesterday to spend the canoe money on kayaks. He could see how much fun everyone had in them.

So there is the epic story of my weekend!

I forgot, after we were at the lake on Saturday I bought us dinner at the same place where we stopped on Friday. My daughter wanted to stop there again yesterday but we said NO.

Good morning, Robin.

For the record, I'll take a kayak over a canoe anyday, but I'd rather be in a canoe on the water, than on dry land.

Agreed! My DH has had so many injuries that he can't sit in a kayak. He has an ultralight canoe that is really cool and can keep up with a kayak.

The best part yesterday was seeing how much my kids loved it. My daughter's birthday is next week, she asked if I'd get her a kayak for her birthday. Um... no, but we will get them for the family.

So... I think it is time for another Ghoulie challenge. Some of us need some motivation and we have Melissa signed up for IM France.

Any ideas?

I agree, but I don't have any ideas right now. Maybe I'll think better after my nap.
