I can't decide which is more hysterical: the Cake Wrecks blog or the applicant resumes I've been reviewing all day.

Spokes - 2009-05-07 1:11 PM I walked past Dizzy Gillespie once.

I saw Dizz in concert once in Cleveland... he had a big band with him... The final chord of Oo Pa Pa Da is still resonating within me.

awesomeness.

Spokes - 2009-05-07 9:18 AM I ride everyday.

Oh wait... I bike commute.

I took the 'long way' home, using the bike trail from downtown to Sac State to my house last night... man there were some cute girls riding. The warm weather brings 'em out.

I was in a state of perpetual whiplash during the spring when I was in school at Univ of Georgia.  Aaahhh the mammaries memories...

Athens is a nice place. Warmer weather = less clothing, and you have more of that in Athens than we had in Iowa City... although man, when I was there, the extremely tight designer jeans with cowboy boots were in... yummy. Sometimes, more skin covered up IS sexier.

I've been to Athens too. Ever ate at the Taco Stand? My X went to school in Athens ('almost' graduated).

Yeah... I've done the Taco Stand.  My favorite places in Athens were Engine Room, 40 Watt and 5 Star Day Cafe.  As far as clothing, it's tough to beat a sun dress on a Saturday afternoon during football season.

I get "Night in Tunisia" stuck in my head a lot.

He was judging a jazz band competition and also played. Neat guy.

Dizzy is so cool.

I'm trying to hire some entry level/somewhat experienced technicians for the lab I run.  One fine applicant's only place of employment was the BK Lounge...

Hey kids! Yeah, I wish I were doin' it doggie style ... or any style.

Thanks for asking, Nichole. I'm hanging in there. It's a beautiful day today, so I'll try to get some stuff done despite how I'm feeling. Your story about your ex really beats all ... I keep thinking about it and relatively how lucky I am. You are an amazing, strong woman.

Man I used to love strolling through North Campus and admiring the scenery - both flora and fauna.  It was def worth the trip from the slums of South Campus.

UGA toppage... Go Dawgs!

Hey wurkit, are you lurking?  Is the sun nice and shiney up there?  It is down here in Navy town.  Oh wait... nevermind, the clouds just rolled back in.
