MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: Show us your Ghoulies - Halloween Run Challenge Page #3 wgraves7582 - 2009-10-23 2:58 PM Alright I am caught up and back from the Chiro - Here is the low down on the hoe down: No hills on the bike because I like to ride Single Speed and that incorporates all the muscles and effects IT Band as well. So if I ride I have to go flat and I have to climb up my home hill very easily in a very easy spin gear. What do I think about Arizona. There is some good climbing involved once I get out of Prescott and up towards the Canyon and I need to make sure my cycling endurance stays good so I am going to work hard on the flats for the next 2 weeks to see how it goes and see once I hit the hills if my leg gets bothered or not. If not I will continue on to Arizona - if not - supplemental plan. So no cross racing for sure - I was going to sneak some in but I need this to heal! Yes, be smart and let it heal. So much better in the long run (pun intended LOL) |

Don't like the idea of being underdressed for 8 miles. Yeah, found the arm warmers! Off for a run. Back at ya in a bit. hope it is a good one...you brought your water right? Ask Neal...choking down a cliff shot isn't fun without water! Any flavor other than chocolate and I would have been okay. But still, not recommended |

Did some sprints....high impact=ow ow ow...oh well.. Did my first OSCE today!!!!! (I can't exactly remember what it stands for...Objective stationed clinical exams or something...) I had to take a patient history....I passed!!! YA!!!!! What was harder, the OSCE or the run? Ummm....probably the run...I did sprints...I just had to suck it up and do it for both though! Look at Mindy and the 2x post. That is only the 2nd one in 3 threads that I can remember. We are a very savvy team when it comes to not 2x post - either that or we go back and edit it to make it say something else You caught me! Well at least when I do (which is not too often) I am paying enough attention to fix it. |

Last night I did a one mile test run in the rain, and then 45 minutes on the trainer. Plan is to try to get another 2-3 miles in on the dreadmill today after work...because it is cold and the rain is blowing sideways this is good news, yes? its better on the dreadmill? i know for me, the key in keeping my foot pain 'at bay' is varying my running surface as much as possible. one run on the road, then the next on the TM, then the next on the crushed limestone, then the next.... too much road running makes Stacie's foot GRUMPY GRUMPY GRUMPY! glad your moving forward, and finding what works for you KATIE. stacieb Definately good news Stacie! I usually do ok only running on the path (pavement/packed gravel) but the foot always loves the TM. Unfortunately I don't mentally love the TM Edited by kromanowski 2009-10-23 3:44 PM |

A pair of Asics with limited support and a pair of cool looking Brooks racing shoes. I am working on going no support and possibly attempt barefoot running next spring so I figure the more flats I incorporate into my winter training will help me for that. I wish I could run. Part of me just wants to run 1-2 because my leg never flares up until 2.5 miles or more but I know that would be dumb! that WOULD be dumb, mr w. graves. the running 1-2 because your leg never flares up until 2.5 part. THAT would be dumb. cool shoes! both pairs. PICTURES? and way cool on the running barefoot aspiration. the way we were made to run....al naturale. kinda like swimming. stacieb The Asics were ugly - black and silver but the price was right Here are the brooks if it works! hey they look just like my Newtons! are they stealing their design!??? I do like them...and Im sure they dont cost almost $200 with tax...so that makes me like them even better!! or do they cost that much?? I love a guy who can race in pink running shoes! sure there are many way tooo macho...or they thing they are macho who will not wear them! YOU GO BILL! and hows that summary going....I will need it by the end of the weekend....so hope your taking mental notes of all that is going on!!! oh and welcome back! haha are they PINK??? on my screen they come out red and orange. too funny! you ARE a real man BILL if they are pink. stacieb I just looked again...and this time on my laptop...and PINK AGAIN! do I need to adjust my colors!?? or are others seeing pink? that's hysterical. OK GHOULIES. QUESTION FOR THE DAY: WHAT COLOR ARE BILL NEW SHOES?? i (stacieb) say they are red and orange jules says they're pink stacieb On my laptop they look orange and red. |

Have a good evening everyone!! we are a team of foodies are we not!?? love hearing what we are eating...so what kind of tostados? chicken? beef? carnitas? and what do you top yours with? Well the first layer is a black bean chirizo (sp?) mixture that is topped with chicken, tomatillo salsa and a little mexican cheese mmmmmmmmmm~ but, no lettuce/tomatoes/avocado? Tossed salad on the side and I do mine on top of the tostado...it all ends up mixed up anyways! good for you for having your veggies, too! didnt want to have to send you back to the table! haha do you do most of the cooking or the hubby? or is it a joint effort? Well currently it is a joint effort, but when I am on clinical duty he does it all sounds like a keeper to me!!! He is definately a keeper...I am a lucky girl! |

Tomorrow we are cooking a 3-4 course meal together tomorrow...just chilling and cooking together all day...one of our favorite things! Sunday we are having photos taken in Downtown Chicago...this was my birthday gift since we don't have wedding pictures in Chicago (becuase we got married in my home town in Ohio) but this is where we met and so I have always wanted professional pictures done in the city (not in wedding wear) |

Last night was a red, although I like white too. well you can come and open and consume any and all whites I have...never really liked chardonays or sauvignon blancs....not really a merlot person either...Cabs only! mmmmmmmmmmmm~ and havent found too many cabs that I dont like! I don't particularly care for sauvignon blancs, but do like some french white burgundies (sacrilige in California though) cause they aren't so oaky. I also really like viogner's in the summer. Nice patio sipping wine. hmmmmmmm not sure I have had viogners...will have to give it a tri! Alot more to choose from it you are willing to buy french wine. It is getting more popular in California, so there are some vineyards that have planted the grape. Rabbit Ridge makes a decent inexpensive bottle. Patio/pool sipper. |

I know but I don't even drink coffee. Don't tell anyone though I start my day off with about 40oz of water before I have caffeine (Pepsi) around lunch time or later depending on how tired I am I wish I could go without coffee...sure after seeing the bottom of my cup with all those black fine grinds...what does my stomach look like??????? plus when I was being admitted to the cancer hospital...that was the question for them for the day! I must have been asked over and over and over and OVER again by each specialists/nurse/oncologists/receptionists...do you drink coffee? and here is where it gets bad for you Bill..they also asked about soda?? do you drink soda? how much? what kind....I guess they were trying to see if there is any relationship between cancer and coffee/sodas. I dont drink sodas....well, very often...but love my coffee and the deeper and darker it is...the better! Gave up caffeine a couple years ago. Wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be. I a 6 pack of Diet Coke habit....per day The only soda I've had since then was some gingerale when I had a tummy bug. I do indulge in a skim decaf latte occasionally, especially on the weekends. |
