I got a swim-bike brick in today. Now I am at my folks where my mom wants me to 'tell' her about the plants that are coming up. Oh how I wish I had a green thumb...in any way, shape, or form!! I think those tins are a crime! My boys and I make cookies for grandparents every year, but we send in a plain ole cardboard box with a bow. In fact, we're making cookies right now. But, I guarantee, they are no where near healthy! I guess that I am agreeing with you...there is nothing wrong with a cardboard box. It is what is inside that is important. |

If you fill them with the energy bars, I have no problem with you sending them in a Christmas tin!! |

Would have been more but the lbs and my bike took about 3+ hours to wrap up! We wanted to go 9 speed because of chain conditions but the cog was 10 speed somehow so they switch that and then realize the shifters are 10 speed shifters. Back goes on the 10 speed cassette and 10 speed chain and then tires/fenders/rack/computer install. I did fenders and rack and water bottle switch out - oh and pedals. Left the other bike at the shop for a pre-sale tune up and it is on the market - let me know if interested. Oh and my new bike - LUV IT!!!!!!!!!50 of the 70 miles were on her today - yeah. I think I am tired though! I'm excited for you... but I'm also jealous. Its sounds like you had a fun day. I'm hoping there will still be some money left over once the medical bills are paid off so I can get me a new bike. |

Elite 3460 Slackerville, USA | Subject: RE: T.W.I.S.T.E.R. - March Winds Challenge brick94513 - 2010-03-20 4:06 PM Swim-bike-swim for me today. Rough start to the day though. MTB had a flat (goat head in the tire), so I choose to take the tri bike instead. Left the house and forgot my swim shorts, so had to turn back and get them. Then, as I'm getting into the pool, my jammers rip right up the crack. Luckily, I had the pool to myself, so I pretty much swam with my butt hanging out. That had to an awful sight! It felt good to mix up the workouts a little though. I had a day with a suit situation like that. Only it was on a busy beach and I didn't notice until the day was ending. It was a baggy suit so hopefully I didn't flash too many people. |

Elite 3460 Slackerville, USA | Subject: RE: T.W.I.S.T.E.R. - March Winds Challenge Things didn't go as planned today. Thought I would have a lot of time to myself and I was going to do my own little tri. But my wife was catering a wedding and was running behind schedule so I ran and picked some thing up for her and helped her set some things up. Went to jump on my bike and both tires needed air and took me a minute to find my pump. Then I had to find my lights because it was dark by that time. Went for a short ride but it was fun. |

Elite 3460 Slackerville, USA | Subject: RE: T.W.I.S.T.E.R. - March Winds Challenge Just updated my training log and the spreadsheet. I fell a little behind the last few days and will have to work hard to catch up again. I adjusted my schedule and can still make or exceed my goals for the month. Hope all is going well for the rest of you and everyone that is sick is getting better. See you on the forums Monday. |

Subject: RE: T.W.I.S.T.E.R. - March Winds Challenge Got back from Kona a couple of hours ago. Getting ready for bed...it's 9:40pm here...but I got my alarm set for 4am...race day tomorrow...so exciting. The weather seems fair. It's been drizzling tonight, but I think it should be clear by tomorrow. There is quite a bit of surf this weekend, so not sure how choppy/rough the swim will be tomorrow morning. |

Subject: RE: T.W.I.S.T.E.R. - March Winds Challenge Today was actually the first time I've been back to Kona since getting into cycling/tris. Interesting how you notice now all the people that were riding on Queen K hwy (the ironman route). We were driving about a 25 mile stretch and I must have seen at least 60 or so riders...most of them solo, but a couple groups of 2 or 3. I also had no idea how hilly that route is. I've driven on that road a few times, but I guess you just don't notice. And the wind there is amazing. TV highlights do not do it justice. |

Elite 3913 far northern CA | Subject: RE: T.W.I.S.T.E.R. - March Winds Challenge My 40 mile ride yesterday didn't work out. Roads were all tore up so it was more of a cyclo cross ride of 14 miles. The weather was beautiful though! The ocean was lovely. Sorry....no pictures. I was cranky. Today, I'm going for a short run in the rain. |

Luckly I pitch...so I don't have to run much. |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: T.W.I.S.T.E.R. - March Winds Challenge Challenge update! Oh my, there's been some changes in the wind..... Here are the current standings: 1st place - T.W.I.S.T.E.R. - 57.3% 2nd place - bEASTies - 53.6% BUT it's only March 21st, and the month is only 68% finished. Who will win the challenge? Keep working out (and post padding, of course)! |

Subject: RE: T.W.I.S.T.E.R. - March Winds Challenge One thing I didn't mention in my RR was that I noticed afterward that when you got body marked, they asked if this was your first triathlon. I thought the lady was just trying to make conversation, but I think that's what the "V" meant on my other calf...that this was my first as I saw other people with the "V", but not everyone. I actually think that's a great idea, because a lot of people after the race asked me how I did...and sort of implied or knew that it was my first. I thought maybe it was just obvious that I was a first timer, but I guess instead of it being "written on your head"...it's written on your calf. |
