Anyone know anything about archery? More specifically, compound bows?

Initial phone interview in a few hours... Went to Outdoor World last night and got a crash course from a guy who worked there.

"My bow's got more rubber than a tire factory, but it's killed more animals than the plague." Yup. That guy.

Elaine- I have a bow I use for deer hunting. I was most concerned about draw length and draw weight and how balanced it was when holding it. Check this out for much more mind numbing data and stuff, not sure if will help or not. http://www.huntersfriend.com/bowselection.htm

That is a beautiful reference. Thank you!

What kind of bow do you have?

I have an older model PSE that I was fitted for years ago, it is still holding strong but there are some really sweet bows available these days.

Spent some time at the jail today talking to a guy who, when he appealed his life sentence, got a death sentence handed back to him. (It's since been commuted to life, but still.)

He's the one who got busted for a kilo of heroin when he was 18. A genuinely stupid but very nice kid with a really nice family. He's been in nearly 7 years so far. And as bad as U.S. Prisons are (especially for the West), prisons in the Third World put a whole different spin on the word "hell."

After that ... everything in my whole day and life seems fanfurkintastic!

There has to be more to the story than a kilo of heroin...

In that region that is a very serious crime.

I wanna be a TANner!

Would love to be the FNG but don't know if there are prerequisites for joining in. Obviously, from what I see, if I was a girl I would have to be beautiful, intelligent, witty, sexy, and the best BT had to offer (flattery will get me anywhere). But being a guy...

Is there an application form or something?

I had the best wine on tuesday night. 2004 magnum was so yummy and my first Port, which made go from slightly tipsy to fun Cheri.

I actually have no idea what's on the menu tonight as I'm not hosting - but there's usually a good selection of whites, reds and sometimes a bottle of bubbly thrown in for fun.  Really, as long as there's wine to be had and good company, it'll be a good night!

Dunn Howell Mountain (Magnum).  Full bodied, black berries and plum, with a clean finish.  Glassed my eyes over nicely.

And a Port Warre Otima 20 year Tawny.  My first time with a Port.
