Seriously, if you could do this I would be very happy.

Even with your "secret weapon" things arent going to change from you being BETTER than me over night.

I think the secret weapon will drop my 5K pace a minute and a half.  This is what I have heard.  My last race, my pace was 8:05 or something.  You do the math.

NL predicts that he will win.

NL says he can go 1:30:38

Shelly123 says she can go 1:34:00

It's on!

My time is realistic, NL, not so much.

my time is pretty realistic if I spend enough T.I.T.S. over the next couple of months.

edit: stupid BT censors.

I am talking about your run split.... The only one with a shot of beating what you are proposing is scott with numbers....

you rang?  i'm hoping to go sub-18 on my run split.  NL, you with me?

Now that its pretty much decided that I am going to kick NL a$$ why doesn't everybody else post their times?

At smallwood I was able to beat all the male or female VAMDDCBTTCers in the race. Maybe I can do this again.

you should sign up.  the lower shelly is in the VAMDDCBTTC standings the better.  you in the race would put her 3rd, at best.

Yeah the only way I can beat you is if I kick you in the balls as I swim overtop of you and you are incapacitated further for the rest of the race.

I am realistic.

NL/Shelly-

Can we get some clarification as to the origin of the purple speedo avatar idea? Shelly seems to be shooting down any attempt at brainstorming an idea for punishment for her potential loss at the KS. First she won't ENLD (and he apparently wouldn't accept anyway), now she won't KNLA$$...

I came up with it an he agreed. Honestly, we don't really need for my punishment, cuz there is no way I can lose.. Our last head-to-head match-up I beat him by over 16 mins in a sprint. http://www.setupevents.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=event_detail&eventID=948

dearheart, that means little. all this does is give you a false sense of confidence. trust me, come April 20, you will feel the sting of my whip.

You realize that is almost 20% difference in race times? That is a lot to come up with. I was closer to the fastest male, than you were to me. Just sayin'.

So, is this any way for a coach to treat her athlete, by trying to plant self-limiting doubts in his mind?

NL, don't get a penalty this time, shave a minute off each of your transitions (she beat you buy more than 2 minutes there) and train like a mofo (go to masters a lot), and pray she does the half the day before and smokes herself.

my swim time is going to be under 15. there's 5 minutes. penalty makes 7. am 2' faster now in the 5K. there's 9. 1 minute in each transition makes 11. aerobars makes me 10% faster, there's 16:30. more training maybe 2 more mins faster on the bike makes 18:30.

And I want it a lot more, since I am going to look like an a$$ if I lose, so that's another 2'. There's 20:30. With some wiggle room.

If you pay me off, I will tire her out the night before
