Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies HMs and margaritas Morning Ghoulies. It is POURING here. It is also right at the freezing mark so I am NOT going anywhere. Days like today suck, you drive around a corner and the road isn't just rain-covered, it is black ice covered and you can't tell the difference until you skid off the road. So... I am not going to get my annual work physical and even worse, not going to get to swim! |

I can't lift my arm at all now, and it burns like you wouldn't believe. She said that should go away in 2-5 days. I'm still supposed to rest it, no pitching softballs, swimming, shooting basketballs, or lifting, but I can do yoga, and it shouldn't bother me when I run. In a few weeks I should be back to normal... or normal for me. Wow! I hope it gets better quick! Thanks Dee X2.. How is it today? |

Elite 4201 washington state | Subject: RE: Ghoulies HMs and margaritas Robin, in my log you asked what I get acupuncture for. I first went because of my sinus and allergies. After two or three treatments, it has made a world of difference. I don't take any sinus med unless I have an active cold which is rare. I used to take over the counter stuff almost every day all year. When I used the neti pot regularly that helped, but the acup. is even better. I will still use the neti pot if I feel stuffy after swimming or raking leaves, etc. Now I go to acupuncture because it is so restful to me and I can get right on any issues. For instance, my knees were quite cranky ... sore, twingy, a very slight swelling.... after my run yesterday morning. One in particular was still sore when I went to my appointment in the afternoon. She does about 15-20 minutes of massage and then pins and then I lay there for about 30 minutes. I usually drift right off to sleep. Then she comes back and takes out the pins. My knee has not bothered me at all since the appointment. I go about every two weeks because I do a trade with her, but I could cut it back to once a month now and still benefit greatly. In fact my husband wants to try it. If he likes it, I will let him alternate with me so that we are each going once a month. |

In one of the states that believes state workers are ruining the country. Our benefits have been eliminated or slashed. |

Master 3479 Utah | Subject: RE: Ghoulies HMs and margaritas Hi guys. Thought I netter pop my head in for a quick hello. The hubby and I have been house hunting. Fun and ugh all in one. Especially when we're all over the place with what we want. First it's one price range, less than 10 years old, in one of 2 neighborhoods. Then it's a higher price range, in only one of those neighborhoods, but also in another one. The we throw in "wouldn't it be cool to get a 100-year-old house near downtown" into the mix. And then add back in the first neighborhood we had ruled out. Oh, and the building lots. Let's not forget those. Oy! Our poor realtor! We currently have offers in on 2 lots, in the same area at the foot of the mountains. But the one Hubby wants the most has some pretty high square footage minimums for the house that will be built on it. And when I say Hubby wants that lot more, what I mean is that he's been drooling over this lot and watching the price slowly come down over the course of a year and a half. *sigh*. I don't know if we can afford to build on that lot (because of the size issue). And there's no HOA, but there is a committee that has to approve the house plans before we can build. And a few other ifs ands or buts. And he's not home for another day or two. And some decisions really ought to be made by tomorrow. Obviously they won't, and I'm hoping that doesn't come back to bite us later.
I'll try to stop back in tomorrow and catch up on the last few days. Until then, because it will be morning when you read this, Happy Hump Day! |

I spent most of yesterday in my chair with the heat pack on. I could really feel it when I was up moving around and didn't have heat on it. It is cold here in my office and it is REALLY stiff right now. I have my little heater on the floor on my left side, but I'm seriously considering putting it on my desk on my right side so I can keep my shouler warm. |

Keri has a 3v3 basketball tournament on Saturday, then on the way home we're picking up Caleb's best friend to spend the night. Saturday evening Keri and I are going to my cousin's house to get some desperately needed help making Caleb's birthday cake. It's his 13th birthday and I want something special. I would normally have my sister do it, but since we will be spending Saturday at the basketball tournament I have no time to go get it. Sunday the birthday festivities will start. Monday I'm going to go into work late. I'm going to stay home in the morning and take the boy out for breakfast, then drop him off at school. I'm not ready to have a teenager in the house! |
