WOOO HOOO. 70 min bike 35 min run and a brand new OWIE on my knee. not even a pair of bruises. same knee as the bruise i got on Sat. at least i waaaaannnnnt to be balanced, if im gonna be bruised. im thinking falling off a bike is just a rite of passage for cyclists.
STUPID DOG OWNER WHO DIDNT HAVE CONTROL OVER HER STUPID DOG! what up is with these young 20 something women who get these BIG dogs, and then cant physically handle them. i had the forsight ie lets just say i saw this stupid dog owner more than once on my 3xs around the lake&took notice the first time she didnt have control over her dog... course when i saw her the final time, i was on the busiest section of the trail theres four lanes of traffic coming and going to the lft of me, and a steep slope down to the lake to the right of me when i saw her (my final lap no less), i had the forsight to unclip when i saw her coming and there was no other away around her...BUT my clip got caught into the pedal when i was trying to come off the bike DOWN I WENT, BIKE AND ALL. no worse for the wear. thought maybe i broke my finger at first. hurt like h-e-double hockey sticks. but its better now. bloodied up my knee, but it didnt rip a hole in my tights. that's an upside.... STUPID DOG OWNERS! im gonna go and meditate now. ohm. Did you yell at the dog owner? Or, at least, glare at her? |

Master 1632 Almost Canada, WA | Subject: RE: Taser Roasted Peeps kns57 - 2009-03-11 6:01 AM I'm spoiled. I've got two HR monitors. A Garmin and a Polar. I like the Garmin when I need to know how far I've gone and I also use it for hiking and walking. The polar is great for the trainer, treadmill and swimming. The Garmin you can't take swimming, or at least the 350 you can't. Or is it the 305. I don't know. What kind of Polar is it that you can take it swimming? I had no idea you could actually do that too! I take it that the polar is strictly a HRM if you use a Garmin for things like distance? (sorry, but I'm a bit blonde at times ) |

And in college I moved on to rugby. Now that was fun! Nothing better than a full contact sport to get your aggression out! I didn't know you played rugby!! I played in high school! What position did you play? Ususally played outside center. Ocassionally the wing if one of the super speedies didn't make it. I was just starting to learn the intricacies of being a fly-half when a big girl fell on my and broke my ankle. After that it was rest and rehab before getting back on the field. I ended up back at outside center. How about you? At one point or another, I played all the back positions. I really didn't like being fly-half. I ended up as a wing when my coaches figured out I could run when I wanted to. |

Did you want that taser????? 1stTimeTri - 2009-03-11 10:29 AM Artemis - 2009-03-11 9:28 AM Hmm...maybe I should actually start doing some work today. I'm so unmotivated!!! *Jen, this is your mind talking back to you. Dooooooo some wooooooorrrrrrrrk* Thanks. Some times I need the taser poke for work more than the workouts. Got work done. Lots of running around. Some days I feel like I should be able to log lab work as a workout. I need to go home and take a shower today! |

Early in the season works well for me so I can train while my kids are still in school. Husband will be deploying this summer so Patriot works out perfectly. Lots of BTers doing it too. Extra bonus! I'm excited but somewhat scared too. If I stick to my training plan, I'll be fine, I know but something about a half iron.....yikes. |
