Have a great extended family weekend.

I think I slept two hours last night.  And now I have to work all day, plus we have a game night/birthday bar-b-que at our house tonight and then work tomorrow.  I am going to be dead!  Hope you were able to get a nap in.  do you think customers will notice if I sleep on the Help Desk?

I wasted a weekend being sick. Unfair!

You should be able to trade those days for a Monday and a Wednesday.

I would if I weren't taking most of next week and the week after off!

There are actually 97 librarians who work in the library, but with desks still needing to be covered, they anticipate that only about 30 will actually come to the presentation.  LOL, I better be ON!!!

Bummer about wasting the weekend sick.  And Highland games just around the corner.  Of course, the plan with the allergist was to keep you healthy during the summer.  Is it working?  Have you had less upper respiratory issues so far?

Well Ghoulies it is time for me to find a new job. I'd like to find something where I can telecommute. I came here because of the flexibility, I took a paycut to come here. I've turned down jobs making more money so I could keep my flexibility, well now that flexibility is gone.

There is no more wfh unless you have your manager, and the approval from another manager higher up, and it must be in advance, and you need to have a damn good reason. Everyone in the office is upset about it. Apparently it all came about because of the people in another building in NJ, too. So of couse everyone is now being punished. This is why I don't like people.

Dang. Yes, you had better be on. But I am still sure that you will rock their boat. BREATHE is still good advice

that just sucks. Who do I need to hit with a baseball bat?

Ditto!  They have proven that people are more productive working from home when the opportunity arises.  I know that I am more productive because there are less interruptions.  Hope that everything works out.

Good morning Ghoulies!

There has been all kinds of sucktastic going on around me lately. It can stop any time now.

Robin and Kendra - We won't be making it to Lake Lure in August.   I was hoping to put off buying a car until October or November, I won't be able to wait that long, I need to buy one soon.

Along with losing my wfh ability, I will not get to go on vacation with my family in 11 days. There is a big project at work, that I was told I need to be here for. I am beyond pi$$ed off about this!

The list could go on, but it's just more of the same. I'm going to be sending out a lot of resumes here in the coming days, send me juju that I can find something I am happy doing, and I can work from home. I live in the middle of nowhere, so unless I want to commute over an hour each way to Harrisburg, or 2+ hours to DC every day wfh is my only real option (takin a huge paycut is NOT an option and that's what will happen if I try to find something locally).

Damn!!! That is unacceptable. All of it. Not being able to go on a vacation with the family... Sucks. Not being able to come down here. Double, Triple sucks!

I'll be sending good ju-ju. You got this job (that was great for a little while anyway), you will find another. Got my fingers crossed for BOTH you and Kendra. It is getting really hard to type so it better come soon for you both.

I'm not an overly emotional person, but I've been on the brink of tears for the past few days.

I'm on call this week, too. I spent 2+ hours last night working. I got less than 5 hours sleep, and I'm SOOOOO tired today. I'm leaving here at 11 today, and 10 tomorrow, we're going out to lunch for Keri's birthday since the evening will be crazy. I have Thursday off, and unless I put in some more hours I'll be out of here by 11 on Friday. No more putting in extra hours. They get 40 from me a week and that's it. I'm supposed to be flexible and be available for 'the job' 24/7, but there is no flexibility for me. Grrrr

How is the Fitbit working Robin?

My order from the website was still backordered, but when I was at Target over the weekend they had over 2 dozen of them in the store. I cancelled my order from the website and try to get out and pick one up this week sometime. I might get one for my sister, too. She's doing a couch to 5k program right now, and is running a 5k in DC in September. I think Keri and I are going to run with her.

I hate people! I want to get out in my kayak, and none of the trips my club is going on suit me, so I found a PA Creekers group on facebook. You can't just join, they have to approve you. I requested yesterday, and overnight I got a snippy response from their admin telling me I was denied because he saw no evidence on my page that I was from pa, or even liked to paddle, and he was considering reporting me to facebook for wanting to join their page because it was suspicious.

Seriously?

I replied back that I have lived in PA my entire life, I am the proud owner of 6 kayaks, and a member of the CCGH. I told him it was all good, I'm not really interested in being part of a group that is so judgemental anyway.

I am liking it. It records when I am walking at my desk while typing. The Jawbone didn't. If I put it in my sock, it sorta records while on the bike. It recorded most of being on the elliptical. Since I am using it mostly for to keep me moving outside of my training workouts, it is going well. The website isnt as "nice' as the jawbone, but it has everything I need. The ability to sync on my phone and on the computer is nice.,and it is wireless. The alarm works well and I like being able to tap it during the day and see where I am in my goals without having to sync.
