I'll be upstairs shredding while he is downstairs watching the game. Howdy Kendra. I am not really fond of superbowl parties unless there are folks there that are not into the game. I hate to be taking with folks and have to SHUSH THE GAME IS ON.... or worse.. SHUSH, THE COMMERCIALS ARE ON. We are going to some old friends of Jim's that we don't get to see much and the TV is in the basement. The party is upstairs. |

From Thursday's phone call it sounded like the job was mine, but I may have to take a small pay cut. It is a large company and they have metrics and stuff for what they are allowed to pay. He was going to try and get me at least what I am making now. I honestly would take a small cut just to get out of here, especially because I would be doing something I want to be doing. |

That sounds good. You need to get out of there. The pay cut isn't great, but being happy at work is probably worth it. I still have things crossed. |

I would happily accept a grand or two less than I'm making now to go somewhere and be happy. Plus it is a large company with contracts all over the world. They have better benefits, including tuition assistance, and there is room to grow within the company. I have worked for small companies for a lot of years and the only way to advance your career is to move to another company, so you have to start all over again with vacation time and such. I have had 2 jobs where I was with them for 3 years. That's it. That's the longest I have worked anywhere. I would like to hit 4 years somewhere. |

I find it ironic that the guy at work who talks to people in a way that would get most other people fired, and tells about how he would give his 4 month old daughter beer in her bottle so she would sleep so he could play video games talks about how some other guy has no class. Really? |

Still sending that juju your way! Of course, you haven't mentioned the most important job perk.... will you still be able to come to the village from work? |
