Alcohol comes from the kegerator in the living room everyone knows that... whats a kegerator? And how do i fit one into my living room, and how much alcohol does it hold, and does it do beer as well as wine, and is it cheaper to run than a butler and who's going to fill it up...........oh, i am going to need a butler. |

Member 892 England | Subject: RE: Yanti & Lynn: Manatee Madness Mentor Group CLOSED Morning Manatees.# Got to share this as i am soooo happy. Just been out for a morning run. Added an uphill 1/2 mile to my usual route, making it my longest run ever and i did it faster than my normal route at a pace of 9.38/mile which is a pb. All this only 16 hours after my 10 mile bike. Life is good. Also live on my TV right now is a a cookery programme where the guest chef is local to us and has just won his second Michelin star. Didn't know we had such a top restaurant so close. Better start saving up for the wife's birthday. Finally, after the race talk towards the end of last night, i had to see if there was anything going on near me and there is the Clumber Classic Duathlon on 24th March. Itching to sign up for it as they have a sprint version as well as the full job so i am going to enter. It's a 5k run 20k bike 2.5k run which sounds like fun for my first ever race and a good warm up for my first ever sprint tri in April. Finally finally i have also just found a specialist Triathlon shop only 20 miles from me so going to have a mooch around soon. |

Coastal Carolina | Subject: RE: Yanti & Lynn: Manatee Madness Mentor Group CLOSED got a trainer ride in today as we are getting a bad storm at some point today and I dislike getting caught out on the bike during heavy storms, just over an hour and kept my cadence up in the mid 90's or tried to at least, going from virtually no feedback besides RPE to more than I know what to do with is daunting but I'm figuring it out. PLan for a LTH test monday to determine HR zones on the bike swimming tomorrow.
Have fun with the early night Allen |

Melon Presser 52116 | Subject: RE: Yanti & Lynn: Manatee Madness Mentor Group CLOSED Asalzwed - 2012-03-03 5:03 AM Alright, alright. I have a real training question!!!!! How long is your typical 1/2 marathon taper and what is the decrease in % of mileage you do? Oh, and I am talking more for a "B" race, more of a tune up/check in type of race. 1. Training??? 2. typical? Really depends on how the weeks surrounding it fit into your greater training cycle and goals. My answer for you would be: not very much. I'd keep it at 70-90% of what an ordinary planned volume would be the week leading up, and my guess is that most of that would be missing from the runs the two days before: say 1/2 of what you'd ordinarily do on Friday, Saturday a quite short (3-4mi) tempo/race-paceish run, race Sunday. Kind of a wildazz guess since I should look at your logs, but there you have it. My opinion, worth every bit you paid. |

Wonder if i can add the whole minute on my training log? Yes. That sort of activity is most commonly logged as either "Body Surfing" or "Submission Wrestling," whichever is a more accurate reflection, I guess. Of course, you could always come up with a custom name ... |

I'm loving it so far and everything seems to work as advertised so it's great. Seeing my HR and cadence on the bike is awesome as I can actually see what it is instead of guessing. The pool workouts are really interesting with the ability to determine my pace number of strokes per laps etc. My pool doesn't have a working clock besides a tiny wall clock w/o a second hand in the corner that I can barely read while swimming so it's nice to have some times dialed in.
Well we got soaked all day yesterday and into this morning so I woke with water stains/falling plaster from my kitchen ceiling onto the counter... awesome cleaned it up and off to the pool |

I did a run yesterday, after work; and the last three days I have spent painting a large exhibit--usually while standing on a ladder (a shaky one). In any case, I am feeling it today, my quads are somewhat quite sore today! So are other body parts...Thankfully, the painting is done, so tomorrow I can do my scheduled swim workout. Its possible that one of my co-workers will be setting up a team for the NorCal Tough Mudder (up in Tahoe)--Its after my last tri of the season and a month before the Down and Dirty mud run--I'm thinking I'll give this a shot! It helps that one of the potential team members has a sister with a house near the race site that we could use--Yay, free lodging! I will def. have to work on my strength for this... |

The math, if you are interested, is a simple weighted average: [(13x176)+(7x178)]/20 = 176.7 Which is 177. |
