My Bib is 10395

Your mission should you choose to accept it, is to beat Pete Jacobs.  He wants to beat his 2.41

This grief thing is currently like a wicked munchie that can't be satisfied.

Frown Hugs

That last pic you posted of him was badazz

No shyte, right? I'll post it here for posterity too and because Skrat asked for stories. That's a 1000-word one right there!

I'm totally procrastinating again. Put in a really long tough day full of meetings (good, productive, some were tough, my brother made a guy cry and told him he's lucky it wasn't me talking to him or he'd be black and blue, true) ... then dinner and Yahtzee with Mutti. She trounced me as usual.

Doing a fly-out to Bali early morn tomorrow, whirlwind of errands and document-location around the Funny Farm, and back to Jakarta by evening.

You have to get Dice with Buddies on your phone then we can play!

Loading it now...

So I was going to comment on the S/B/R thread that you only got in to tri because you are an IronHo but I wasn't sure how well that would go over in TT Laughing

You gotta do it!!!  I got into triathlon so I could flooze with Terenzo Bozzone and Macca!

lol, I'm not going to be running Olympic Trials qualifiers YET. It wouldn't mean anything right now anyway. I'll save the 2:40 for 2015

Artemis - 2013-03-26 7:57 AM Dear Manatees, why did I think it was a good idea to start a thread in Tri Talk?  Ugh...

Uh-oh...shame on you, but I'm curious. I need to go see what out-of-control mess it is now  Wink

Well my morning is off to quite a start...

First, I'm still in PMS/taper mood/mode

Second, the dog decided to occupy the same space I was using during our run so I now have some road rash and a sore hip

Third, the coffee machine decided to act a fool

So of course I decide to stop at Sbux on my way to the office. The one by the house had a HUGE line so I stopped at the one by the office and saw the following sign. Salty does Sbux have more offerings that we need to know about?

All I can say about the sign is....What a combo!!! Innocent

Thanks for the chuckle, TJ.  Hope the other ouchie issues are improving.

Yanti's dapper dude-dad circa 1958, in New York City.

Really hadn't changed that much over 50 years later. Just for the record, he was definitely the best-looking corpse I've ever seen, and I've seen a few hundred probably.

I also did the ceremonial Muslim washing of the body and preparation for burial. I think in most Muslim cultures, but definitely many Indonesian cultures regardless, it's the family that takes care of their loved one's body.

It was a great honor and such a tender thing to do for my dad. He was also a clean freak so I know he appreciated the thoroughness Also the Muslim cleric who was there supervising--basically just the hospital chaplain, if you will--was a super, super guy.

Great picture! And that soooo made me laugh. You're awesome.

Is funny the same as cool? Then yes     How'd everything end up after your snowy car vs curb problem the other day?  I've been in/out and just catching glimpses lately.

Same for me, I skipped a few pages.  My tire/care ended up being fine!  I was praying so hard I wouldn't come out in the morning and find a flat.  Very much relieved.

I set a 200y (broken at 50s for 10 sec) PR tonight.  Previously it was 3:00.  At first I heard 3:17 when I got out of the pool and was bummed.  But I forgot to subtract the :30 of rest. Yay for a 2:47! (Even if a broken 200 isn't quite the same as a straight 200, I'm claiming it).

Nice! PR breaking feels so good! You should have linked that under my thanks for psyching me up for tomorrow's swim... I need some "real world" push when the Olympians just get me down. Wink

I think y'all just confirmed what I was thinking my self. After Galveston I will be firing my coach. Just not the best fit for me.

I don't need anyone pushing me to do more volume, I need someone telling me to back off some before I get hurt
