Got in a swim  with a coach today and immediately dropped 20s on my 100m free time  with hardly a kick !

Can't wait to go try to incorporate the adjustments in my next session.

That sounds great... So it's really worth it.... I have to sign up for classes next month....

So what was it he had you change?  I've been reading the TI book and trying some of the things in it.  I've probably picked up 5 - 10 sec/100 yds, but it feels about as comfortable as running a 5k in high heels!

That's a funny comparison... I just try to picture that... For whatever reason I am thinking of red pumps!

I guess you have to get used to adjustments... It's different so it feels different and that's probably something to get used to!

You're probably right, but as a typical male, I am looking for the easy fix!

My issues are  uneven strokes especially right arm/side where i breathe , too much movement and rotation of my chest , my head is too low , looking at the bottom instead of forward

also my arms doing eccentric pulls because of above issues . my arms reentry in the water is too early so i am not getting full extension of my arms on recovery (front) . This above skewing causes one foot to go sideways and creates drag .

Tips for me are tilt  my head up more  to see in front  my fingers . Big one is bilateral breathing this help not overturn , keep arm straight and for me overcorrect

rentry more to the right side and more forward of where i usually do it. Enter with thumbs down .

Okay team. I just did an hour in the pool tonight. That puts me at 50% or better on my four goals. I'll make it don't you worry.

I have 13 miles and 3 ST left to make goal. I have it planned out. 1.5 miles a day and I will get it there. Do more ahead of time great - if not I still make goal.

Go team.

Next race for me is next Saturday!  A miserably hilly 10K that is actually about 6.5 miles.  But it is a great workout and a lot of fun!!!

I got my swim in early this morning so I am up to 64% with that.  I will either bike or run later today as well.  It will be a busy week, but should not have a problem hitting the goals.

Train well folks and if you are racing,  good luck and have fun!!!

Miserably Hilly !   LOL

My race is mercifully flat.

But take courage : hills is what separates the Best for the Rest.

I have a 8K in two weeks and a 10K beginning of March... But those are basically training runs, just for the fun of it... Next big goal is doing the Cooper River Bridge Run 10K in Charleston under 1h.
