Happy 5000th post Yanti. Happy Easter (a day late) to all the Nibbs! It was 'non-technology day' yesterday. I try not to turn on the computer unless I have to...makes for a much better Monday I've found... Easter was relaxing...church in the morning, got together with some good friends, Easter baskets for the kids...YES, there were peeps in there! I'm trying to wean myself off BT when possible. I know I'll get sucked back in here and there, but things are getting really busy around here... From my blog: Well folks, I knew this would rear its ugly head at some time, but I'm gonna try and reduce my BT time. With family activities starting to ramp up, a few work projects coming into their final phases, house renovation projects overdue, workout volume creeping up above 9 hours a week and 2 bike builds less than 2 months from needing completion, it is time. I'll try to answer inspires when I can. Know that I'm training and I'll definitely try to find opportunities to get together with BTers at races. The season is upon us... Im soooo lazy... I still havent got my voice back and my wrist is on ice so I think its going to be another lazy day! Luckily that speed limit was only in the town of Rockmart for the portion of the Silver Comet that we rode on. The limit lasts for about a 1/4 of a mile, and yes, we obeyed the speed limit at that point. |

Heh... what's funny about that picture is that there was a bit of a debate about the trail in the Georgia forum and there were varying viewpoints on speed limits on the trail. Kendra posted it there with the specifics on where and for how long... and it definitely made me smile!! No arguing with the photographic evidence Oh, and, uhhhh... I ride there a lot. It appears I deserve a speeding ticket. Or a thousand.
that's why I took the picture, to post on the georgia forum. Made me laugh to actually find the sign. |

Heh... can you imagine? Of course, I also train in one place where the police are trying to crack down on cyclists, particularly at stop signs/intersections. There's this one part where you go up a hill and there's a stop at the top of the hill. You then turn left and immediately start to climb again. If you have to stop, you lose momentum and the next climb is even more teh suxxor. I live in fear that a) there will, someday, be a car coming and I'll have to come to a complete stop on the first hill or b) there will be a cop there one day and I'll have to decide if it's worth it to stop completely or whether I should just go on and take the ticket instead
LOL! I think I'd take the ticket
Of course, if they give you the ticket, you are going to have to stop anyway, unless you make them follow you all the way to the top of the hill and then they might say you were trying to evade them. LOL |
