It's... ah... a "motivational technique." Works really well, too. Even better than Cat's whip.

Yes for some reason people seemed to.. ah... enjoy the concept of me with a whip. That issue doesnt seem to happen with a cattle prod

With the training for IMKY going on, I'd be stupid not to jump in on a little faux-TdF action.

My target goals:  8 stages.  450 miles.

It doesn't really matter what team I'm on.

Back for second annual....however, unlike last year I will not be riding every day with similar terrain (flat, hills, mountains, tt) as I did last year....nearly put me under even though it was really fun and gave me the slightest taste of how really good those guys are.

This year, in keeping with my training plan for my September sprint (first timer), I will do 8 session for 110 miles.  Slow and steady is this years mantra....

Would love to be back on Team (Orange)  Euskaltel - Euskadi (EUS) with my Orbea.

Welcome back for the fun - I still remember your crazy plan from last year so no worries on not repeating the madness I understand! July is a mad month for me...

I want to play again.  I haven't perused all the pages but would like Team Columbia if that is available.

I'll go for 21 Stages,  not sure of the make up of it but will target 15 hours.  

Hi - welcome back!!! Team Columbia should be ok... we have a really broad range of teams people would like to be on so we will need a few more riders in the challenge generally to fill everyones preferences but.. the challenge doesnt start for another 6 days so Im very optimistic!

Lol - how could I forget Les vertes emmentales? That was nutty... for any one who isnt sure what this is .... Les vertes emmentales is 'The green swiss cheeses' basically.... (emmentales is the name for the French version of Swiss cheese)

Done! I remember how excited sapph was to have a team member called Sledge  

That was a great team.  I liked having the green cheese avatars that month.  

I'm soooo in! 9 stages and 500 km for the month for me.

Hi Pam - challenge doesnt start until the 5th, lets check in with each other then and see when your appointment is and go from there...

Ive built in a formula for down time but just let me know whats happening with the ortho and we will work around it.

OK - just catching up on the sign ups over the weekend... we currently have 77 riders signed up for the challenge...

And team requests for the following 9 teams: Barloworld, Garmin-Chipotle, Eukaltel-Euskadi, Credit Agricole, Silence-Lotto, Team Columbia (formerly Highroad), Agritubel, Quickstep and CSC-SaxoBank.

Initially teams will be set up with approx 9 riders per team based on the current tour teams. The smaller teams also makes it easier to inspire your team mates and keep up with what is happening in the team thread.

I will announce the teams Thurs/Fri (AM USA time) so there are still a few more days to sign up if you want to join in

If by some fluke we get around 90+ riders involved I may add other pro teams to our line up. If your team preference is not listed in the 9 teams named above feel free to make a request but please state a second preference just in case!
