Hi,

Can someone enter me on the spreadsheet?  I can view it but I wasn't able to make updates and add myself.  Here are my goals for August:

Swim:  150 Minutes

Bike:  660 Minutes

Run:  630 Minutes

Strength:  240 Minutes

Weight Loss:  Start 183, Goal 177, Total 6

Thank you.  Lisa

Hi Lisa....I used to have that problem, too....if you sign in you can actually add your stuff....go to google spreadsheets and sign in:

user name - btchallenge

password: challengeforum

hope this helps you....I will add your info if noone else has...

Thanks Girl Passing on Left!!!  I was able to log in and I updated the spreadsheet with my workout tonight.

so what is going to with everyone today? anyone racing this weekend? anyone going the extra mile, so to speak, in their training?
what about "untraining" anyone doing anything riotously fun this weekend?

I have a perfectly boring weekend planned.  It looks like I'll be swimming today, followed by some housework then dinner with friends.  Tomorrow I have the extra-exciting task of working overtime and then I plan on squeezing in a bike/run brick in the evening.

On the plus side I think I might commmute to work on my bike.  I normally work 2nd shift which means I leave work at midnight.  I feel uncomfortable riding that late so I don't get to bike commute.  Sunday I'll be working during daylight hours so maybe I'll do the environment a favor and leave the car at home!

I'm going to be pants and back out of this challenge. Just lots and lots going on, plus my foot is going to be a while before I can run properly.  Sorry peeps.

Great first day for me.  I ran 6 miles, although it was on the treadmill instead of outside.  I'm going to try to get in a nice long bike tomorrow morning.  I'm just praying for good weather.  It seems like every time I make plans for a long morning ride, it rains!!

Found out last night that I have 24hour duty today, so my PT schedule is all messed up.  I might beable to squeez in some exercise today, but I missed my tempo run this week due to the work schedule and a little laziness on my part.  So a new month and I am already behing.  Hope everybody else is having a successfull weekend.

Glad you had a good run!

I dragged myself out of bed this morning and rode my bike into work.  So now I'm at work getting paid time and a half to type this post.

what's everyone else doing today? i kind of wish i was going to seafair today, but the thought of fighting traffic all the way up and back isn't all that appealing. LOL

might catch a nice long ride on The Bike later. (it still doesn't have a name!!)

Yesterday, I biked on the trainer for a little over two hours and today I ran 7 miles.  My legs are really sore, so I'm glad I'm going into a light week.

Hi all - sorry I haven't been participating in this thread but it IS only the third day in August!

I was away in NC this weekend but now that I'm back home I'm ready to get busy meeting my goals. Before I left I did 15 miles on the bike and while I was gone I did 750 yds in the pool (not as much as I wanted but had some other things come up I had to deal with). So, I guess I'm at least moving in the right direction, huh?

Hey, I don't feel like looking back through the thread so someone tell me...is this still a CASUAL challenge or are we doing teams? Is there a certain day of the week we need to post our totals?

Thanks!

Does swing dancing and intertubing the river count as training? There was a little paddling involved! Glad to see some others had a more productive weekend than I. Yay for Mondays and getting back on track!

Pretty happy about my long run on Saturday - 18 miler - which is a great start to my running goal. Biking - I skipped a ride this morning after coming home late from the shore last night. So, I'm behind there, and I gotta start dropping these last few pounds.

had a freaking great ride yesterday, taking a day OFF today because i'm just plain smoked. i WILL however make a dent in my crunches goal for the month.

my ride yesterday was epic for me. it may look like a cute little 10 mile ride to the major cyclers on here, but the HILLS were long and steep. the longest training ride i had done on my old bike was on relativly flat roads and about 4 miles. so the new bike is good. the ride was hard, but good. my stuff is sore from my saddle today, so i'm NOT riding today. LOL

Nice...I had my longest ride ever yesterday, as well. I went about 28 miles...around Mercer Island twice! I planned on going once, but it felt so easy that I left my fiancee and did it again.

Today I have a long run and light swim planned.

I am slacking, but I should get some training in this evening.  First I need to get some sleep since last night was just one of those nights as far as duty goes.

AWESOME! Great job and congrats on an epic ride One thing that's hard to keep in mind around here is we are all at different levels. A year ago I was thrilled (and completely drained) with a 5 mile run. Now it's called Tuesday. We really can't compare ourselves to others, only to our past selves. So, to go over twice your previous distance and on hills is definitely something to celebrate

Danskin is out on I-90 to Mercer and back to Genessee Park! I went around the Island.

I had never ridden twelve miles before my first tri and I am just so excited!
