I did get out and do a virtual 5k race yesterday as part of the Kick the Couch 5k. I hadn't done one in a while, so it felt pretty good. Hope everyone is doing well. I miss you guys!!!! |

Search function - Yes, you can post in your local State forum. Since you advertise your state location, your state will automatically associate with your account. My account is associated with the Wisconsin forum. I think this is a great idea to have so that is saves on having to go through all the states, unless you specifically need to go to a different state for race lookups/assistance. |

Pro 4608 Brooklyn, NY | Subject: RE: The Mysterious Dark Arts - l'acte 2 I ran. Shocking, I know, but I actually did it . What a beautiful run, it was along Lake Michigan. Even though I spent my entire life visiting Chicago several times a year before I moved to NYC, I feel like I never really looked at it. I guess that's how it is with familiar things. Now that it's not so familiar, it's like an entirely new place. I've really enjoyed being here. I had to cut the run a bit short, from 15 miles to 13 miles, because I had to be somewhere by noon, but my ITB was also starting to hurt so it was likely a good choice. I can get the extra few miles in on another day. The reality here is that my marathon is in 3 weeks so it's pretty much too late to make any serious fitness gains. Oh well, it will be another 26.2 mile fun run |

Vacation is so much more fun than reality. You were almost a neighbor today. How was the race? Tony survived? Didja see Whizzzzz and Trixie? I met up with Whizzzzz, Trixie, core, Misskelly, startingtotri (? not sure of name, but she was super nice) and two other BTers at the start. I have a nice photo of Tony, Trixie and Whizzzzz, I'll see if I can post it here. Those of us not running spent the morning jockstrapping together until we had to split up to see the various finishers. It was really hot by 10:30 or so, which made me glad I wasn't running. Tony did incredibly well, he finished in 3:48 I think. I was able to fight my way to the finish shoot and got to see him finish. Core said Whizzzzz had a great time and was still happy after her first marathon so it seems like it was a good day all around! Put the pic in your album. Here it is! Trixie seems to be enjoying Tony's nipples. What a fun bunch we are! |
