I think I am going to like this group. But the thought did occur to me that (1)you people are slightly nuts. (2)Were you all normal once and then ... ??? (3)Should I be nervous? Anyway, this all looks like fun and I hope to be able to keep up with the massive posting on three different challenges and threads.

1-it is the best way to be.  It wouldn't be nearly as much fun if we were all quiet, well behaved, introverts who where only interested in getting in the perfect workout.

2-No, never, not a chance.  Just ask my mom-I tortured her throughout her pregnancy.  I had her bedridden for more than 3 months, hiccuping and kicking the entire time.

3-No, there is no need to be nervous.  Just don't drink soda while you are logged on to BT.  There have been a few keyboards damaged from unexpected hilarity.

Hey-what if I started up a daily Holiday Knocker notes.  I could make sure that it is always the top post on a page so that it would be easy to find.  It wouldn't hurt my post count either.

I say go for it. How's everyone's night going? I had my 1st oops in my quest to lose some weight and went for the italian pastry for desert. Only ate half though and gave my 4 year old permission to take any desert I have away from me in the future

Morning all you Knockers.

Thanks for the table, Melissa. Had I stayed on line I'd quiz you on plant ID anytime. Are we into trees? (east coast or west coast?) perennials? wildflowers and native herbaceous?

So Rudy, my man, what are you into today?I believe I agree on the photo. I will get my DHs professional opinon on that. It will be a tough job but I think he is good for it.

Hey Happy chick, you are one up. Yea! I'll catch a run this afternoon I hope. I have training all day.. ICK

Knocker Knocks to all of you.

Plants that suit the Pacific NW.  I love trees!  Covers everything from ground-covers to trees-rarely any annuals though-at least not in the fall and winter.

I went to bed as well-I don't retain much info when I am tired.  I do much better after a good night's sleep(or at least a semi-decent night's sleep)

Cool, then we are talking conifers and ferns and fungi... I can help anytime you need help on those.

Does any one know anything fun about Ft Collins Co that isn't in guidebooks. My poof DH will have a lot of time on his hands while I am in training....

I studied the fern life cycle last week-you need a completely new vocabulary when you talk about ferns.

Do you know botanical names or should I go with common names?

Give me botanical, we on the east have a different plant in mind when you say deer fern than you do...

I think a daily summary, if you want to avoid studying that bad, would be great. I on the other hand am gonna go to bed now, The INTENT is to get up and drive to the pool (20 miles) and be back at the office at 7:00 am and get a mile swim in between. THEN pick the DH up at the airport at 11:00 PM at night. A girl needs her sleep for that kind of day..

Knocker knock to all

I never study in the evening-I always tackle projects the morning of their due date-typically at about 3am.

And botanically speaking

Kinnikinnick, also called Bearberry, is called Arctostaphylos uva-ursi.
