Merry Christmas!

No workouts here... didn't even leave the house. But had a nice mellow day with my husband and my kids and life is grand.   I'll probably want to hit the gym tomorrow since we leave town for a few days on Saturday - heading up to New York.

I WANT to swim.  I've become an addict.   All I want to do is swim.  My dad once said I'd waterski on a wet washcloth, given half a chance.  I am, indeed, a fish.

Merry Christmas all!

I got in a good 6 mile run this afternoon and I got my trainer all set up - so I'm jazzed. Now if I could just stop eating the cookies everytime I walk through the kitchen, I'd be golden.

Morning all and Happy Friday!  Day off number 3...2 more to go.  Life is good isn't it!

Today is a run LT field test. Doughboy, Smeador and I will be out on the track this afternoon running as hard as we possibly can for 30 minutes.  I really need to retest since according to the current zones I have, I spent an hour and a half at the White Rock Marathon in zone 5.  Not possible.

Other than that, nothing planned.  Have a great day everyone!

Good morning everyone. Got out of bed at the "crack of 9:30" to do my run this morning. My brother has a pool at the clubhouse I am gonna see if it is open and try a few laps this evening.

That Is actually a great idea. I dont think I have had an LT test in about a year. I may need to do something similar myself.

Later all!!!

OK, 30mph winds will not give an accurate reading for an LT test so it is being postponed.  Going to change to a trainer ride.

Windy day here in the metroplex, so just a trainer ride today.  Long run on the plan for Sunday....The weather looks about as perfect as it can get for it.

I'm actually going to do a workout tomorrow! Maybe even 2! I need to start paying my dues to belong to this group.

Here's to posting something productive tomorrow!

Here's to posting something productive tomorrow!

I'm out!  I won't have anything productive to post for a while.   Unless I count walking the mall today for a few hours as a workout.  I'm not too worried about it.   If I don't train for a few days it won't kill me.  I'm not racing until at least May.  A week off around the holidays to enjoy my family and friends isn't a terrible thing.

Zilla - 2008-12-26 11:46 PM

I ran 2.5 miles .. at 10pm.  It was 26 degrees and wet and puddly.  I am beginning to not hate running.  Been doing a challenge this month that consists of a 2 mile minimum run everyday.  I've improved dramatically and that is sooooo awesome for me.  I couldn't even run 1/2 a mile wihout walking at the beginning of Dec.  Now I can do 3 miles NO WALKING at about a 10 min mile pace ... and I actually FEEL A PACE!! This is cool.

I love when I get to the point that running isnt so much of a challenge and you can just get out there and enjoy it. That's a great feeling I hope to gte to soon.

Got a 4 mile run in today. It was tuff because I am still fighting this head cold. If anything I feel worse than I did yesterday. I managed to get thru it but it was a struggle.

Fantastic Zilla! It took me amost a year to get to that point. You will continue to see improvements for a long while. Have fun and enjoy!

Great job everyone!  Scott, hope the core class was not too much of a killer. I wish my gym offered core.  Weird that they don't!

Swimming again today...that's twice this week.  Yeah me!

Did short rides the last 2 days on my new trainer. Fun fun!

Tomorrow is supposed to be gorgeous for my long run. Who doesn't love 60's in December?

Like you Kristen, tomorrow is going to be perfect day for a long run.  Planning on 7 miles. Going to be in the low 60's and this 30mph wind we have been having for the past 2 days is going to be a nice breezy 5-10.  Really looking forward to it.

Oh, and I found the pool again today

Great job everyone!  I found the pool for the first time in three months today.  It was a little humbling to see how much my form/fitness has dropped off, but I cranked out 1000 which is better than sitting on the couch!

Happy Holidays all! I posted a note to you all in my log. I' don't want to monopolize the thread again.

I've gotten a few workouts in over this last crazy week. But I've probably put on all the weight I'd lost over the last week. This week was capped off by splitting a few pitchers of beer with some cousins last night at the local dive I like to go to. So starting tomorrow, no more excuses.

I'm gonna try to get a two hour ride in today, it may be tough, my wife has some workouts to make up. We'll see.

Good Morning all!  It's an absolutely beautiful day here in North Texas.  The 30 mile per hour winds have subsided and by mid-afternoon it is going to be in the 60's.  We have a long run on the plan - 7 miles.  How weird is it that I am really looking forward to it.

As far as weight goes...I can't think about what I did yesterday or the day before that, I can only look to what I do today, tomorrow and the next day.  We need to make some big time changes in our eating habits and there is no better time to sart than today.

Hey all. No training today. This cold is really kicking my butt. I think the best thing to do is take a rest day and see if that gets me feeling any better.

David, welcome back.  Mark, hope you get to feeling better soon.

Got an hour of slow walk, run, limp in this morning.    My back is acting up, but we'll work through it.

Have a great day everyone.
