She borrowed it and left it parked in a driveway. She was in the house when someone decided to 4 point turn in the driveway and didn't see it. The piece that holds the bars on is snapped, the forks are a mess and the saddle is crunched. It's going to cost more to fix than I paid for it. The child who destroyed it wants the bike if I fix it..... Wow such bad luck!! Sounds t me like the child who broke it shouldsave for their own bike... Then again... Im not a mother! She has one. My garage is full of hybrids needing love. R's got new wheels to replace all the snapped spokes but the brake cable snapped so we need to redo brakes on that one. C's needs new tires or the spokes restrung as well as a new seatpost cause it's jacked up. My hybrid is in the photo...My husband's needs spokes. Schwinn got alloy spokes that year and they're all rusting out in the middle. |
