I think the 3 sport challenge is a much better idea during racing season. I also think that the 100% max was a good addition to the challenge. The single-sport-focused challenges (for me anyway) will be much better put to use in the off season.

Plus, I've got my first Oly in September, so I could use another consistent month like this month!

I also have loved this month's challenge!! Would love to do it again!
In other news, I finished my bike and run goals tonight!! With the swim completed yesterday, I'm golden!
Updated the spreadsheet. We're at an amazing 94%  complete with 87% of the month gone by.
Only 4 more days to go. Let's aim for 100%'s all the way!!!

Hell, Tom, you loved it so much...it posted 3 times!!! Duke should teach you to operate a chat room for all that dough. Nice bike / run duo, too. Way to knock two down. That's the stuff.

To be honest, even if there wasn't another tri challenge, I like the idea of a group setting goals, and calling each other on those goals. For me, it wasn't about beating the other teams (although victory will be oh-so-sweet). It was about being accountable for the reasonable goals I'd set, and checking in on others to make sure they were being successful as well. We did a huge amount of encouraging both here and with inspires. We should be very proud of our team work.

Go Team Yuengling!

Holy crap.  I wake up to find all these 100% achievements.  Nice job everyone!  Tom came out of freaking nowhere the last couple of days and slams his goals.  He's probably chuckling over a beer right now reading this.  Mark...you're just toying with us buddy....98%, 94% 97%.

Two more hours, and I get to join the other finishers at the line!  What a great team!

GO TEAM YUENGLING!

So...are you going to buy everyone else a new vehicle for completing their goals?????????  You know...like when you've got some candy in grade school and the teacher makes you share it with everyone else.

Its the sound of Team Yuengling's goals falling.  The ground is shaking underneath the other competitor's feet.  But....the month is not yet over and we are still working for the perfect month....here's how we stand:

The month is 94% complete.  Team Yuengling has achieved 98%!!!!! of their goals this month.

Wakeman     bike 100%  run 94%   swim 100%  overall 98%
Lara             bike 100%  run 100%  swim 79%   overall 93%
HookedOn Tri  bike 100%  run 100%  swim 100%  overall 100%
Rennick        bike  100%   run 100%   swim 100%  overall 100%
Bon Bon      bike 100%  run 100%  swim 100%  overall 100%
G8RSAX      bike 100%  run 94%  swim 100%  overall 98%
G8RLA94     bike  94%   run 88%  swim 96%   overall 93%
Rkreuser       bike 100%   run 100%  swim 100%  overall 100%
Tpetersen02  bike 100%   run 100%  swim 100%  overall 100%
jkbostic         bike 100%  run 100%  swim 100%   overall 100%

Gator Mike is knocking out the bike sometime in the pm and the rest over the weekend.  Wendi has a run or two left to go provided doc says its ok, Lara's getting wet in the pool for 2 swim workouts, and Mark is gonna knock the run out on Sunday.  Sounds like a plan.

Everyone cheer on Rennick who is probably going to hit a (first?) 200 mile month too!!!

GREAT JOB TEAM YUENGLING!!!

I'm in for August.  Just like July, I'll be mostly out of action for the first week, herding 6 kids at the beach for a week.    I know, it's rough.

I have some tentative, personal August goals posted in my log, all time based.  I actually don't expect to be able to reach them.  I'll post some "official August Challenge goals" soon, probably 85-90% of my personal goals.....sounds wussy, doesn't it?  LOL

I'm in for August challenge too, and I'd like to add the core work as a 4th goal.  I REALLY need a push in that area!!

Haven't come up with goals yet, but I will soon!!
