Food has been a popular one.....
I personally think about food about 99% of the time!

I also agree that swimming is pesky. I have a lot of sessions left to get done and I will definitely fit them in so I have a few horrible weeks coming up.

I am constantly thinking about food.  My co-workers are actually impressed by the amount of food I shovel in my face.  And my husband knows that if I'm cranky it's a good idea to throw some food at me until I'm fit for human interaction!

That is so me too! All of my friends know that if I am food deprived I will become very cranky and have learnt to treat me accordingly. Another friend of mines boyfriend carries around granola bars in his pockets to "feed the amazon" in times of need.

Glad you had a good hol - they are all about eating too much and sleeping too little.

rh8463 - 2010-10-11 10:37 PM Oh, and welcome back - where did you go on vacation?

Went to Siesta Key, Sarasota, Florida to see some friends get married.  It was a wonderful time with a great group of friends!  The only downside - I drank too much and slept too little.  Now I'm suffering thru my 12 hour work shift.

Welcome back dear Emily and so glad you had the perfect vacation hee hee ...

I actually started to think second base might have been the wrong phrasing for this thread....

But then it is baseball season

I made it to second base in one of the Tri Talk threads--there was even a pic--but now I can't remember which one.

20K+ posts you get old and foggy you know.

Goodmorning everyone! I was rocked out of my bed at 5am with worries of the future concerning employment... That's always healthy.

Minimum wage here is 10.50 and most of the Kinesiologist jobs I have found offer 12-14 and I've got two degrees and 1.5 years of experience. That's sick. I have to break into the not-hiring education feild to prevent becoming stangnant and get a fair wage.

Today I'm putting together my teaching portfolio to get me back on track. Something that I've been procrastination about, which is why I'm telling you. It's a lot of work and the motivation is suffering since I've been job hunting for almost 5 months.

best of luck Melissa!  I am grateful for my job even though it is not my favorite by any means.

Thanks Bill! I am sitting here trying to work my notes into a comprehensible document (philosophy of education). I have a few sentances, but they never seem to be good enough. I wish I could turn off the perfectionist/Type A for awhile.

Send them to me and I will do it - I tell people I am Type Z

I used to be type Z, but then I was somehow brainwashed into believing that a race pace high productivity and quality work output all day all the time attitude was good for me. It got me through high school and post secondary, but now I'm having a hard time turning down the intensity. It's amazing the effect habit has on a person!

I have my rough jots notes typed into Word. Sorry for doing this here but it's keeping me accountable. Today is the day I will at least have a decent teaching philosophy rough draft done.

What's on the menu for everyone's training today?

Sounds like FUN, Melissa...  Good luck!

Run on tap for me today.  Not sure how long it will be though -  It's a dance class night, so I need to get out of here early.

Also, I swear...  my workouts have been getting worse and worse...  I feel like I haven't had an ounce of energy to put into any of them since my last race in September.  I should have recovered by now!  I somehow dragged my undertrained body through an Oly and now can't seem to find the energy to run a couple miles.  So frustrating!!

Have you taken a break since your Oly? Maybe a little burned out?

What kind of dance? I love dancing but I'm not very good at it.

Lies from the pit of h&LL.  The man wants you to believe that but in the end the man ends up sticking it to you no matter what.  Innocent

But I am not bitter - LOL

Damn the man!

I was just commenting to my mom the other day that not long ago when it was customary for women to stay at home, men were more than capable of financially supporting their whole family - now that women work too dual income houses often have trouble making ends meet... The man did it again.

Good morning Anti-Ghoulie Establishment...
This is by far the most prolific posting team I've ever been on.  I've given up trying to keep up!  Very impressive.  I wish I wasn't so busy at work (yuck!) so I could join in some of the fun.  Run planned for lunchtime today.  I hope everyone's having a great day!

Goodmorning! Have a good run.

As everyone else said, no need to keep up - just jump in. I think I might be the only one that checks all of the missed posts, but as mentioned above - type A and as also mentioned above - lots of time on my hands. Plus, I put many of the posts there, so I don't need to read through those!

I took days off and have not been real consistent since then.  Trying not to force myself to SBR all the time.  And definitely not forcing any kind of distance.  Maybe it's just that I've been stuck inside so much lately.
