Elite 2640 Ontario, Canada | Subject: RE: April Pick Up-to-4 Challenge The pool is still under maintenance! It's been this whole week. I even bought a water belt with intentions to water run thanks to helpful Crusher (and non-Crusher) suggestions. My swim goal isn't being met either. I planned 2 swims per week, so I'm going to cut 2 swims off of my goal and will continue to hope that the pool will reopen soon. I'm going to ask the superintendent shortly when it's expected to reopen. |

Master 2055 Santa Clarita | Subject: RE: April Pick Up-to-4 Challenge Started the month slow , maybe due to recovery time from my last race. Had two runs this week which went well . Our present weather is perfect for it . I have a swim clinic again tomorrow where we do one session in the pool and then go to the beach and do another hour in and out of the ocean . Our coaches are very accomplished and explain things very well . Really focusing on my limiter : the freestyle swim this off-season . The gym work has really paid off too with my shoulders , core and arms feeling a lot stronger. Edited by van_paulus 2011-04-08 1:20 PM |

Veteran 392 Calgary | Subject: RE: April Pick Up-to-4 Challenge My good news - I got up at 0430 this morning to get to the pool, and I had a GREAT swim! Likely the best swim I've had since I've been injured/cleared to swim again! Yay for me - my mojo is back! My bf is back tomorrow, life will be back to normal. Thanks for letting me vent Crushers - I knew that was all I needed!

Instead, I tripped on the stair coming back in from the garage and landed flat on teh palm of my hand. My hand and wrist are not happy. Making ME very frustrated! And my MIL is here... oh, joy. |

YAAAAAAAAAY!!!!! I, too, have slowly slowly incorporated a few days of stumbling around on the streets Well, Trina-Rae posted Maggie the Cat sleepin' on her back, legs-up ... and this makes me feel much better about my crazy Biscuits (oh yeah, it's the CAT that's crazy, uh-huh) ... There is nothing more peaceful than a snoozing cat. There is nothing less peaceful than a suddenly-awoken cat Anyway, I tried to swim today, but my swim partner looked at me (apparently, I don't look "all there" yet) and the waves (even the diehard surfers were like, "Nuh-uh ... " we're talking 20-foot tubes here) ... and told me, basically, GFY. Oh well. I hung out and chatted with the fellow "chicken" surfer piglets. |

Elite 3913 far northern CA | Subject: RE: April Pick Up-to-4 Challenge The sun finally came out here!!! I went on a lovely 50 mile bike ride yesterday. Today, I'm hoping for an 11 mile run before tackling the acre of lawn that we have. I hope the riding lawn mower doesn't get stuck! |

Expert 1163 | Subject: RE: April Pick Up-to-4 Challenge Ugh, I've been feeling under the weather the past few days and had to skip my workouts on Thurs, Fri, and Sat I did get my usual long run in today, and was feeling a bit slow, but feeling much better than I did the past few days! I have some family stuff going on this afternoon, but hopefully I can squeeze in a swim later. |

Master 2042 Albany, NY | Subject: RE: April Pick Up-to-4 Challenge Well, I finally got myself in the pool this afternoon! It wasn't pretty but it could have been much worse. If nothing else I did go the distance for the race I'm supposed to do at the end of June... It's been a GORGEOUS weekend here! Got a lot of stuff done outside... We bought my daughter a bigger bike yesterday and I took her around the 'hood to try it out - she bike, I ran. That girl really had to push her mama along!! |

Master 2042 Albany, NY | Subject: RE: April Pick Up-to-4 Challenge I fianlly updated the spreadsheet too, and I added another swim to my goals. At the beginning of the month I wasn't sure if I'd EVER get back in the water, so I only put 2 sessions for my goal. I should definitely be able to get in the water twice more before the end pf the month. Hopefully more... but I can only push the hand so far. |
