As soon as I get home I'll pick her up and we'll go to lessons. My husband is taking my son to soccer tonight, so I won't have to run around like a chicken with my head cut off. My daughter and I will actually be able to eat dinner and get her homework done. Do you have anything good going on tonight? |

I've been a walker up till now. I've done a 1/2 mary averaging 15 minute miles. So, now I'm trying to run, and gosh darn it if my running is just as slow as my walking. Last night we did 45 minutes. I am up to running for 1:50 and walking 1:10, so slowly building it up. But my avearge per mile for the 3.1 miles I did was 14:31 per mile. Gosh darn, I can walk that fast. My whole goal with trying to run was to be able to go faster. I'm bummed. NONONONONONO! Don't be so hard on yourself. You ARE gaining speed. It takes a little time but as you get to more of your ratio as running vs. walking it will be more evident. YES, WHAT ROBIN SAID! And always remember! You don't have to go fast, you just have to GO! Thanks my ghoulie friends. I needed that. I will remind you of it as often as you like! Check out your average during your run part and ignore the walk part!
When I transitioned from walking to jogging, I was told to start off jogging slower than I walked in order to build up my breathing. After my endurance was up, then I could begin to up my speed. You are on your way. Don't forget that. |

Along with the e-books, I tapped into the audio books. I have been listening to a mystery book while I run. Fun fun fun You have to pay for a library card? Well, yah! I don't live in Georgia and I am a proud cardholder of the Gwinett County public library. I have a local library card. And even though it is "no charge", it costs me $100 a year in late fees. The local library doesn't have e-book or ipod audio book capabilities, so it is a win=win situation... for ME!
SWEET!!! |

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: April - RUN GHOULIES RUN!!! Good morning Ghoulies! My pups ate my dinner last night. After piano lessons my daughter and I ran to the store to get something for dinner. We got a couple of pieces of chicken and some things to go with it. When we got home I put our chicken on our plates and my daughter put them on the table. I was slicing an apple for her, and when I started walking over to the table I saw that my dogs each had a piece of my chicken on the floor. I was ticked off! I tossed their little doggie azzes out the door! I was really hungry, too.

I just can't get my head in the game again. I want to lose weight. I want to work out. I just can't make myself do it. |
