I want a pat on the head and some serious {{{MELON PRESS}}} for doing ... NOTHING this month.

Okay, I did take my mom shopping today and had to down 800 ibu and buy her ice cream in the middle of it or nobody would have survived. But physically it was just some walking around the mall, but probably a good hour of that.

{{{MELON PRESS}}} for Yanti!!

As of today I am back on track. I decided - so it is so. Laughing

I readjusted my schedule by a week so I'm starting back training PROPERLY and consistently in a taper week, so I don't overdo it this week. But I've only been off the wagon for about 3 weeks, so that's not too bad.

I'm worried because I have a "try-a-tri" on Sunday. It's a short fun one that I got sucked into doing against my better judgement - only a 250m swim, 9K bike, 2.5K run - I wish I'd stuck to my guns and just said no. I know I can do it - but I don't want to! I am NOT ready (emotionally), my bike hasn't been ridden outside yet and I can't even find my bike shoes. I'm scared to try my tri suit on, because I'm thinking it's not going to fit. I guess I'll just go into the race knowing it'll be a gong show, knowing it'll suck, and use it as the motivation I need to get me on track for my serious races coming up in July and August (and as the motivation to buckle down and get this injury-weight off!). If nothing else - from what I hear they have great stuff in their race packages.

The good news is my boyfriend will be out of town - so he won't be there to see how ridiculous I'll look! lol. Undecided

TR, you will NOT look ridiculous, it WILL be fun, and you will be so happy when you have done it! Stop stressing, its just a short race, a bit of fun, treat it as a training session, relax and enjoy

Thats my 2c anyway!

x2

I bet you'll get caught up in the excitement once you're there and get going.  And you'll deserve a treat afterwards for burning all those calories...  Tongue out

I got an hour drainer ride in last night...  that's the longest I've been on the bike in a long time, even before the surgery.  The wrist felt horrible at first but then surprisingly felt great by the end.  And the good news is that it still feels good this morning.  First PT session tomorrow...

I have another frigging cold!  I will not be meeting my goals for this month.  I'm not going to change them, though.  I need to see what I was originally shooting for.  I'm not dropping out of the challenge, either.  I'll get better by the end of the month!  I hope!

Nice little ride tonight, would have been better if the traffic sould have let me turn!!  However, the scent of honeysuckle along the way made up for it.

Nice! Soon things will start to smell good here ... it's supposed to get up to 20 on Thursday! (I don't know what that is in American, sorry). Cool

I had a dose of that on my run this morning but it only carried me so far....I wasn't feeling great and not in the mood for it at all so I ran 20k instead of 32. I am happy I at least got out and ran a bit though!

Sounds like my training today! Nice work anyway

Also, I would argue that "nice" and "long swim" should never be heard in the same sentence! Sleep well!

I'm allergic to honeysuckle.... Or, at least, I'm allergic to something that is blooming the same time as honeysuckle.

I'd probably like it, if I could sneezing and sniffling long enough to actually smell it....

HI DEEVIL

I'm sorry you are sniffly.

I did nothing again today, despite THREE piglet attempts! (theirs, not mine)

I get a homeopathic from my ND called "Lymphdiaral" - works AMAZING for snifflies and sneezing and allergies ... in fact I had NO idea just how well it was working, until I ran out. All you do is put a few drops in water once a day, and you're good to go! I can't begin to gush over how much better I feel taking it on a regular basis.

I wish I could get it here do you think it might help me?

Even the mashed-up Chinese black worms in oil didn't help me, and they help everybody.
