And to make it even better, it's being run right near my house (5kms to the start and transition area, run and bike legs go 300 metres either side of my house). Really hoping I can do this one (3000 entries it appears, so hopefully won't sell out too quick), behave you achilles!! Bike course is going to be awesome (shutting down a whole freeway for it). I have been watching this news very carefully in the last few days (big buzz over at slowtwitch.com) AND I AM SO EXCITED TOOOOOOO! I just started a thread about it in Tri Talk. I am absolutely in Mister Joe and you can bet I will be sitting at my computer on August 28! Yay for us, you especially! Imagine how excited you'll be when they announce the first annual international Ghoulie Crusher's Get together as well Well it looks like that'll be happening around March 23, then, right??? March 23rd? Hm. That's like, 'years' from now.... |

Elite 3913 far northern CA | Subject: RE: August East-West Run/Jog/Wog/Walk Challenge! Oh boy! I've been talked into doing the Mt. Ashland Hill Climb next year. It's a trail run. It's 13.3 miles and 5600 feet of climbing. It is the day before my birthday. Help!!!! Here is an excerpt from their website. "The Mt Ashland Hill Climb Run has the second most elevation gain of any continuous hill climb in the continental United States. The Pikes Peak Ascent in Colorado is the only event with more--7,800 feet. We have more elevation gain than even the Mt Washington Road Race in New Hampshire (4,727'). " At least I have a year to train for it! |

Mine was awesome - I won my fight and lots of my friends were there to watch. I also gained a few new fans and for the first time ever I got prize money which was an added bonus Had a good day yesterday, nice ride with a good friend, delicious breakfast out and the afternoon at the beach. Now I'm back in work and still pretty sick to be honest, got a nasty cough that I can't shift. Hopefully 5 days will do the trick and I will be right as rain for the big race next weekend! Congratulations on the win! (And the prize money, too!) |
