No way. Would have shot him and boarded it up. Done. x2 Infection spreads through blood, saliva and other bodily fluids. I would actually wear some kind of protective clothing and cover my mouth and eyes before hacking at a zombie's brain. Even splatter could probably infect you. No idea how long the virus would last outside a body, but I wouldn't take the chance. Once a walker got in the well, it's poisoned and done. Seal it up with a warning sign. "With all the walkers trapped in the barn, I think Paw-paw is dong experiments trying to find a cure. If Glen keeps fooling around with his daughter, he might end up an experiment too..." I gotta disagree. The old vet just can't let go of his family. He calls them "sick" as if one day, there'll be a way to help them. The key to the pharmacy scene is that for the first time, Maggie saw a walker as a mindless killing/eating machine. She now accepts that her mother, brother and family in the barn are dead and gone. As for the "pregnancy - is it good to raise a baby in THIS world?" The big answer to that won't be talked about on the show. Walkers aren't animals. Animals can adapt to nature and their environment. They have higher brain functions, can learn and teach their young. Walkers have no higher-brain. They can't adapt, reason or figure things out. It's just walk, find and eat. They're slow, clumsy, only carnivorous and only dangerous en masse. Most animals would easily be able to get away. Eventually they starve or succumb to exposure or just lack the energy to keep their muscles going. None would survive a winter north of the Carolinas. They may be the walking dead, but muscles still need fuel to move. In the long-run, you can always outwait and outlast the zombie apocalypse. Within 12-36 months, evolution weeds them out and the world is fit for the baby to grow up safe and healthy. As for Shane... There's a time and a place for people like Daryl and Shane and now's that time. But the trick is adapting back into a "civilized" society when it's all done. Like soldiers who return from war and have a hard time reintegrating into "normal life". He's starting to go all "Lord of the Flies" and it'll be interesting to see how it pans out. I bet Maggie leaves with them and chooses to be with Glenn. |

Do you have ON demand?
They havent really said, but my guess is the Doc et al 'collected' them as they were turning since all the barn walkers are friends and family |

Elite 3067 Cheesehead, WI | Subject: RE: The Walking Dead - Season II The chick breaking the chicken's legs was sooooooo disturbing! I screamed! I can only hope that the good Vet Doc is working on a 'cure'; but I think he may just be holding on to a pipe dream that his wife and family will be returned to him as they were before. I actually think he'll wind up getting munched on by his wife. LOL As for the pregancy - I don't know if it was so much that she didn't want to bring the child into such a world but the fact that it may be Shane's baby is weighing heavily on her conscience. Speaking of Shane, testosterone overdriven as he is; his little 'show down' with the old guy in the hat certainly made the hair on my neck stand up. (I love that old guy--he's becoming the barometer of the group and always gets a good read on everyone's thoughts too). I think (whatever his name is) the guy with the cross bow is a sweet heart down deep and that his redneckness is just his shell. Funny how so many of them are trying to 'go it alone' in some way yet it could be the end of them if they do so. I'll be surprised if that little girl is still alive unless she's found other living people. Its one thing to hide out from zombies and seek shelter but another thing to find food and water. |

For the ones that feel they are held back by the group it makes sense. Also on an emotional level it would be hard to see your friends die horribly or have to kill them later as walkers. To be selfish and just go at it alone and not have to worry about anyone else would be a lot less of an emotional strain. |

Yeah, I get that part of it plus no one to share food with or no one to cry over but DANG...this is 'war'! As long as I don't have Shane on my team, I'd feel I'd have a better chance of survival with others - someone to back me up for shooting purposes, someone to help hoist me over a big wall, someone to help fend off a huge posse of zombies, and someone to keep me sane. Cripes, I'd even carry my cat around if it would help me feel more sane and human like LOL! No wars have been won alone. |

Extreme Veteran 3177 | Subject: RE: The Walking Dead - Season II what a crazy episode! sad they had to find her like that but at least they have stopped looking now right? sort of knew it had to happen that way though, as much as it stinks. This show is still fantastic and I can't wait for February to come along and pick it up again. I am still wondering if they are going to bring back the father/son from first episode in some sort of a reunion later on or if Meryl (redneck brother) is going to show up in real life or if he is gone for good... |

Master 1584 Fulton, MD | Subject: RE: The Walking Dead - Season II As someone who has read the comics, it was interesting to see them kill off Sophia. The major plot points from the comics are there, but many many many of the details are different. I love reading all of the theories and guesses about where the show is going - it's fun to see who guess what correctly. |

Expert 1146 Johns Creek, Georgia | Subject: RE: The Walking Dead - Season II Jesus, everyone knows that a Zombie does not have to eat at all. This was based on the scientific studies done by the AMA, oh, some years back. I'm pretty sure of it. I did just watch a mini series , "SUVIVORS", British I beleive. I totally missed it. 2008 and 2009. Pretty cool. A Pandemic but without Zeds, still a very cool series which left me wanting more. I have to assume since there was not a season 3, they all died. The end. |

Slower Than You 9566 Cracklantaburbs | Subject: RE: The Walking Dead - Season II BIGNEW - 2011-11-28 11:26 AM How is that? Otis had no idea who the little girl was and that they were looking for her. Shane killed him, so he wasn't able to come back and let them know he had found her. Great Episode. Is anybody watching Hell on Wheels? Everyone on the farm knew they were looking for a little girl. They were looking maybe 2-3 days before they got to the farm, then everyone was looking for a couple days after that until they went to the HS to get medical supplies. One group looking for a little girl, the other group found a little girl walker (plus/minus a couple days) and they conveniently fail to put two and two together at the farm? They knew it was Sophia and didn't tell them because it would have exposed their secret even earlier. |

Slower Than You 9566 Cracklantaburbs | Subject: RE: The Walking Dead - Season II Also, in the last scene - Hershel wasn't looking all pained because they killed all their family who were now walkers, he knew the cover was pulled off his big secret. He had the wool pulled over their eyes, but now he knows he and his people have a LOT of questions to answer. Edited by bcart1991 2011-11-28 1:01 PM |
