Ershk - 2012-09-07 6:55 AM I like me a good Stephen King novel.  Morning, by the way.

YES! The first real book I ever read was The Dark tower: The Gun slinger. I never read the other 2 books though, I should go read them.

The others were good too.  I only have the vaguest memory of them, but I remember that I liked them.

I've read all 7 and have them on my iPad; they were all pretty good.  The ending makes you want to smack King but when you think about it, how else could he really have ended it?

Morning TAN

That was one of the worst endings ever. I almost threw the book after I read it.

Yeah I felt the same way at first, but really what would you have done with Roland?  Also it fit the theme of the overall story if you think about the reference to The Magnificent 7 aka The 7 Samurai etc.

Teejaay - 2012-09-07 4:04 AM Morning and such. FYI... It's hard to sleep when it's so very hot and you've no air conditioning.

How did you end up with no A/C?  Ick, right now....Ick is such girlie work, I probably shouldnt use it, but I am drinking a white chocolate mocha from Star****s.

That's a fancy drink!! My air conditioner died. Can't imagine why. It's only been running non stop at 75 degrees since April. It refuses to blow cold air. Cross fingers that they can fix it today!!!

Sounds like a slow freon leak.  Want me to come over and check it out?  Nothing a little soap suds cant find.

I bet you guys are turned on by this post....eh? ON TOP

Aerosol windex spray is a better leak detector than soapy water. And easier to get rid of if you need to re-solder the joint.

Wanna see my plumber's butt crack anyone?

Good Morning TAN, I would not make a good wife to anyone in politics......or would I?

Smile and wave, read a book to some innercity kids, don't say anything stupid.I think you can.
Just don't read them that book that TJ set you onto. That might not go over so well.

What was the name of that book again?  I need something fluffy to read this weekend.

The Beauty Trilogy ... 3 books. Look them up.

Will pick these up tonight.

pointless online contests bother me.  i won't even look.  it's september, which means my FB is flooded with "vote for my baby in the gerber generation search!"  block.  block.  block.  block.

bazillions of opportunities for gerber to get you on their mailing list and showcase new products though.  do these idiots really think their baby is going to be the new face of gerber?

I need new books to read - will look at this trilogy - is it seriously good? What kind of reading?

I've recently read TWO books on Henry VIII - one on his mistress who birthed his first son, and one on his last wife. Fascinating. What a crazy time to live in.

It's SO funny to see those who oppose vaccination use historical data which goes too far back claiming the the disease was erradicated before vaccination, hence, we don't need vaccination.

No; it's called public sewer, clean water and antibacterial soap with regular usage. The incidence of ALL disease dropped dramatically once those things happened.

I loved Pillars of the Earth .... i started World Without End and should finish it ... I think that is what I shall start reading again!

I enjoyed it but I was starting to get annoyed towards the end.  I have world without end but I haven't started it as I haven't  been in the mood for Follet's writing of late.
