As far as the other issues... the latest lawyer we talked to said that he doesn't see any problem at all with me being approved for getting a Green Card, and we've retained his law firm to take care of it all for us... the only problem will be coming up with the thousands of dollars to pay both the application fees as well as his lawyer fees. I'm thinking it would be bad to rob a bank and then try to submit my applications from jail...

Other than the endless bureaucratic run around How is life treating you? Exceptionally bored, stressed about money (or the lack thereof would be more appropriate), and apprehensive about how things are going to go despite the confidence of the lawyer that all will be fine. Also a tad worried about my mental state knowing that I won't be able to work for at least another 5-6 months. Oh well, it's not as though my mental state was all that stable to begin with.
