Um... Am I the only one who thought I had another week until Thanksgiving?

We were going to go down to my sister's but since my dad is having surgery we moved it to my house. For some reason I thought it was the 29th, not the 22nd. I have a lot of work to do! I NEED TO FIND A BIG TURKEY!!!

Now that you point it out... I have it on my calendar and all, but I was still thinking 2 weeks. Good thing I am going to a restaurant and not cooking this year.

Fun day for me. Mamo then I am going to see if the walk-in clinic at the Bone & Joint doc is not too full. It is the best place in the region to go and I need this foot fixed.

Ann, that sounds like a great idea for your turkey, and it will be better, too. Do you know how long your Dad will be in the hospital?

Grrrrrrrrr! I drove around and couldn't find the stoopid clinic. There are 4 buildings, I went to each of them. At Number 4 they told me I needed to go to another address. I couldn't find it to save my life. I just Google Earthed it. There it is, bigger than day. Jim said they must have had their cloaking devise turned on.

I then went to Dick's (I HATE that place) to look at socks. I was ignored by 7.. count them 7 employees. I am giving them a web review now. Several men came in and were instantly greeted. I am going back to my local running store. Prices are better and they seem to actually LIKE customers!

Ann - will be sending lots of ju ju on Friday for your dad.  And great idea on the turkey. 

Robin - I don't like Dicks either.  The local store now knows who I am, and I don't know if that is a good or bad thing.

Dee - what are your plans for the holiday?

I got called for Federal Jury duty for Thanksgiving week and the week after Thanksgiving.  That really bummed me out cause we were to drive to VA to visit daughter and family.  We were busy trying to figure out different scenerios for getting all of us up there without driving through the night on Wed.

Then I got a letter on Friday which said that even though we are called for the week of Thanksgiving, we do not have to report that week at all.  We only need to be calling the following week.  Woot!  So, Tuesday night I drive to NC, and then Wed morning drive the rest of the way to VA.  Our son is flying up Thursday morning and will drive back with us on Sunday.  It is going to be a great Thanksgiving.

Yea for family gathering at Thanksgiving !

On the first thing... I got nothin'.

On the second thing... I used to really be a fan, but now I hate that store, too. They have NO customer service anymore. I rarely see any employees throughout the store. They always have the sign up that they are hiring. I have applied online several times and have never heard from them. I'm pretty sure I'm overqualified, but I'm not looking for a full time job. I just want to work there for the discount. I don't want to work there anymore though.

Good morning Ghoulies!

I be 1 tired Ghoul today. I'm on call this week. I got a call last night around 10:20 that woke me up after I had slept for about an hour. So I was up then until after midnight because I couldn't go back to sleep. Just as I was starting to drift off Milo started barking at something. Not a lot of barking, just enough to wake me back up. It was around 2:00 then when I fell asleep. I have some extra hours in this week because I've had several calls this week in the evening. I'm only working until noon today. I have stuff going on later this afternoon, so I'm going to go home and take a short nap so I can keep going.
