#142 - 3.66 - A full moon and a clear sky allowed us to hit the front 9. We may run the back 9 tomorrow.

I've used pre-race carb-loading as an excuse for emptying many pasta bowls, but I can't imagine running right after. Goodonya, brother.

It was almost good all over the treadmill at about 3.5 miles!

for once, running the treadmill payed off (in more than just miles)...

running on the treadmill this morning over at the athletic facility, looking out over the sports fields. absolutely covered in snow- we got about 6 inches, so that gives you an idea. It was about 9 AM, probably 11F out, sunny. I noticed a group of people coming out around the corner of a building. A guy with a big (probably video) camera, another couple people and 4 others, 3 girls and a boy. The girls were in bikinis, the boy a speedo. They had shoes on. They went over to the stands, and the cameraman found a good place overlooking a fresh clean patch of snow. All four of the swimsuit clad kids (I’m just assuming they were college kids) lay down in the snow and did snow angels. For about 3 seconds (the boy lasted the shortest). And then they all ran back around the corner of the building, everyone else packed up and went in too.

Day18 - 3.1 miles still hanging in. I am trying to figure out how to get the runs in before/after a full day of holiday skiing. - I am thinking before depending on road conditions. A good problem to have.

Not only am I impressed with the 142 day streak, but to run after OG is just down right amazing. I have ran after a book club meeting served cheesecake this week and it was like I had a stone in ma' belly. You rock!

Today will be Day 27.  I missed one day but have had a few doubles to make up for it.  This is my longest running stretch in many years.

It was brutal. I could've handled an easy run, but the speed work intervals were just brutal. I had taken it easy at dinner, too, but it didn't matter. Probably should've postponed the speed work, but just decided to soldier through it. I need to find a way to do that in the morning if that is ever going to happen again!

Thursday - #144 - 4 miles of a progression run. Didn't sleep much the night before, felt a little harder than it should have. Promptly went over to a buddy's house afterwards and drank way too many 9.5% beers, which means tonight's run is going to be misery.

Brad, b-12 before you start drinking, and just before bed if you think about it... then if that doesn't work, grab a beer before your run...

Got an easy 16 mile run in today.

got my long run that was planned for tomorrow in today, since we are expecting an ice storm overnight. It’ll probably fizzle, but I got my 3 miles in!!

Saturday - #146 - 3 miles
Sunday - #147 - 4 miles

Feeling a little achy in my left Achilles area. Do NOT want to mess with that so I cut my long run well short today. It loosened up throughout the run, but it is making me nervous that I ramped up a little too fast in the last month. It really just came on in the last 24 hours or so.

Day 26- 2.1 mile run.
Day 27- 1 mile run, 1000 meter swim
Day 28- 2.98 mile run.

Day 29- 1 mile, treadmill

Had to pull up way short when the Achilles was getting painful. Went and hit the elliptical for another 30 minutes pretty hard because I was pissed off.
