While I'm typing this, the T.V. is on the Noggin channel (for kids, my 3 year old was watching it) and the main character called Moose E. Moose was singing "I Don't Like Candy Corn". I agree with Moose. I never liked that stuff either. BLECH! *and ends that note with a TOPpage!!* Edited by 1stTimeTri 2008-10-25 10:30 AM |

Thurs. and Fri. I'll be out of here and enjoying 2 days off with my sons at a Waterpark! Woo-hoo!! |

Master 2201 Elgin, | Subject: RE: The Mysterious Dark Arts - l'acte 2 So I have a 5k race (that I am actually going to run) tomorrow. Then a 4 mi on Mon, a 5 mi on Wed, and another 4 mi on Thurs. That should put me somewhere around 100 mi for the month. Boy did I mis-calculate when I put down my goal. Oh well. |

In the past they allowed up to 120%. I was looking to contribute towards that. I really don't feel like upping my challenge goal for the last week. Bummer if that's the case. |

To my defense.... It was 2:45pm over here and I was already out of the office... So, booze is completely appropriate! ;-)
LOL! Just like that saying - it's 5 o'clock somewhere, right?! |

TinkerBeth 23096 Liverpool, New York | Subject: RE: The Mysterious Dark Arts - l'acte 2 Here you go Dark Arts Fans Dark Arts notes – Volume 8 (l’acte 2 summary) Some key highlights: Race highlights – Posting milestones – TOPPAGE Highlights – soooooooooo, Illness has been running rampant through the team, ok maybe not rampant………..but some sort of ‘bug’ has hit Beth, Kristin, Emily, Phil Lot’s of discussion around favorites show – just a few that were mentioned - Rent, Wicked, The Producers There was a moment of concern when it was pointed out that we had slipped into 6th place in the standings – turns out we are busier posting than updating the spreadsheets and as soon as that was done, things looked much better –Go Dark Arts! Phil (1stTimeTri)- taught Cat the finer points of poker, it’s all about the best hand and the best liar – to which Cat responded ‘I’m screwed – LOL!). His inquiring mind wants to know why we haven’t been called the Dark Farts or the Dark Karts (not sure I get that one) Steve (AccidentalChef)- stopped by to give an update on his challenge progress, it was a very nice post – thankfully he realized the error of his ways though, when he said Uh oh... just realized I may have made a serious Dark Arts faux pas.... I could have split that last post into at least 5! In a surprise move Steve gets TOPPAGE! – nicely done!Melissa (BunnyB) – popped in to say hi – she did a virtual 5k – Kick the couch 5k (I love that name!). She’s had a great time with her out of town company and is now basking in Hawaii! Emily (esc) – lived on Mountain Dew and Nutty Bars when she was in high school (before a swim meet, seriously?) She had a wicked exam that she had to take. She has a great remedy for colds, which is a shot of whiskey (does vodka also work?). Cat (kaqphin)- wow, did you know Cat’s only been in the snow once in her life? – she’s in no rush to see it again……….I guess she better plan her visit to the US during the summer months. She also challenged Travis to run a challenge for November and he has risen to the occasion! In addition to men in uniform, she also fancies ‘hot Europeans’ Kendra (kns57)- is on the mend (recovering from a foot injury) she’s been putting up some really good numbers. Early in L’acte 2 Kendra put out the call for ‘More, more more’ (I think she was referring to TOPPAGE – hehe. Soon after this post, she got both BOTTOMPAGE and TOPPAGE – WTG Kendra! Oooh, and then she mentioned that she had tickets to Wicked – do I sense a theme here? She's now in Ohio visiting some friends. Beth (lastcall2003)- Traveled to San Fran, had a great time. The city may never be the same after she and Julie (GirlPassingonLeft) met up for dinner and drinks . Now back in the Philly area trying to get over this stinkin’ cold! Matt (mdb) – oh, Matt, where are you? Judi (QueenZipp) – has already begun rehearsal for a Christmas Cantata (can the holidays really be that close at hand?). She is also is the queen of morning workouts. I think she's already done a workout, left inspires all over BT, had some starbucks, and is hard at work before I even think about cracking open my eyes! – Emily, I couldn’t have said it better! – So Judi, did you survive the Friday night with 3 extra kids?Kathrin (ratkat) – has been busy learning the in’s and outs of the various BT forums – most notably, she really has gotten the TOPPAGE thing down! . Apparently she is also in need of an upgrade (her computer actually, not her ). Kathrin is now in Bavaria – and, while it’s cold there, it’s nothing a little booze can’t fix Travis (tlnewman)- continues to cheer for the Phillies (who made it to the World Series, in case you didn’t know). He’s completed a research paper on Biomass energy and transportation fuel – a subject he says is quite boring and gives him a headache (just reading the topic gives me a headache – lol). Travis is a huge baseball fan and got started as fan of the sport early in life by collecting baseball cards! Sharon (zeefraugtries) – has been struggling with injury for the challenge and is now here to cheer us on :-), she got her first TOPPAGE of the challenge – there’s nothing like a little TOPPAGE to lift one’s spirits - lol Kristin (LazyMarathoner) – had a great time in Chicago, met lots of BT’rs and the word on the street is that she does an excellent job of jockstrapping. The joys of travel reared their ugly head on her travels back to NCY – She normally starts her work day at 10:30 (I want that job! ). Oh, and talk about a talent to multi-task, she can actually post while she is on the elliptical (does that mean she’s not working hard enough? :P) – btw, be sure to check out her new bike! In other news we talked about beer, vodka, whiskey, wine (wait, I think we forgot about wine……..) – starbucks, junk food, salt and sweets. Swoop and poop management styles and making friends as an adult – Oh, and there were several posts about training

I think she's already done a workout, left inspires all over BT, had some starbucks, and is hard at work before I even think about cracking open my eyes! Why thank you Emily. Yes, I am usually a morning kind of person which is why late nights on the posting challenges wear me out. I like to know I've done my workout for the day and can (attempt) to spend time with the family...or get a double in Werk has me actually doing my job so the inspires are getting harder to fit in. (bummer, gotta do something about that) |
