Out running or enjoying a fine glass of red...

Morning, Nibbs!

Hope the race goes well Jen - at least it isn't too hot yet this morning!

Busy, boring Saturday on tap here. Laundry, writing initials on all of the school supplies, and going for a nice long bike ride are on deck.

Then probably out to dinner for mexican. Num!

checking back in.

Lawn is mowed.
Laundry is going, 2 loads down, 1 to go. Folding still needs to be done.
Shopping for clothes is done.
Going to get on the bike/trainer now. Weather is really iffy.

Just popping in to say I survived.  Ran out of steam around mile 10, but I still finished in 3:12:47 - over the cutoff but they let us all finish and get medals and shirts.  Good chance I was DFL.  I was running with another girl for the last two miles and we crossed together.  I think there might have been one person after us, but I'm not sure.  First trip to a med tent after a race.  Good times.  I really need a nap now.

I would go with not.  The temptation is too high with all the new cute fall stuff.

They are the company that makes lots of women's saddles and clothing.  They also carry lots of cute "active" clothing from companies like prana and Patagonia, which I LOVE!!

Glad you made it and cool that you got the medals and shirts. A little swag always helps make one feel better. Hope you are able to nap.

Nice hawkeye avatar...

Race results are up... 222/559 overall... good finish, considering I'm not taking my run training seriously at all... 14/30 AG - best AG finish ever in a large race

I had fun. I need to go find stupid hats and shirts. The Blonde said so many people looked like they were going to DIE and that I was smiling when I came around the turn into the chute.

WTG! Glad you had an enjoyable race.

Well I'm ready for a shower and a nap, too. Did 61 miles at 19.9 mph average. Would have loved to averaged 20, but this was a pretty rolling course and I wanted to stay with the group. Rode with my boss, another triathlon friend in between her time trials, my hubby's coach's wife and about 7 other guys that I hadn't met before. It was fun. The weather was pleasant. A bit windy, but not nearly as hot as last year. I gotta brag. I did one pull at the front and ended up dropping everybody but one guy. I didn't mean to do it, but I thought it was kind of cool.

Family is not home. I'm dying to see if they got the Element.

so, it's 4:30 on Saturday - it's been a nice day so far

slept in a little bit

talked to my mom and dad

swam

ran

talked to the fam

soaked up some rays and read by the pool

now what????

I was going to drive to New Hope, but I'm kind of tired, so I'm not sure that it's a good idea, especially given my near disaster this morning on the way to the gym

Scott - Congratulations!

Pam - Nice ride! Did they get the Element?

Beth - One should generally try to stop at red lights. Where's "New Hope," anyway?

<-- Working today. But it's all computer stuff, so I have a Nibbs window open.

(P.S. I do NOT get paid for overtime. It's just "expected." So it's not like I'm asking my employer to subsidize my Nibbs-breaks or anything.... Actually, if I calculate out my hourly salary, it's probably below minimum wage. Hm. Maybe I should quit my job and go work at Burger King....)

LOL!

I know, I know!  I couldn't believe I just blew through a red light - too much on my mind I guess

New Hope is north of where I am off of I 95

I decided to order some pizza and stay in - I'll check out C's school and New Hope tomorrow

I hate Internet Explorer. It keeps crashing.
I hate FireFox. It keeps making my application blow up.
I hate Netscape. It doesn't have enough functionality to run the application in the first place.
Other than that, everything is just peachy.
