Morning. I'm on my way to the race. It's chilly but I think it will warm up when the sun actually rises. Let's hope!

Knowing you, the Crackberry is in your hands right now and you're online during the race, with one of those drinking hats on filled with a beer in one cup and a wine in the other.

Wow, you know me so well Had a great race despite hacking the entire time. I set a 10K PR for a stand-alone race (believe my oly run was still faster in July) in 51:04 on my watch. The Garmin said I ran 6.4. I know zig zagging adds extra distance, but a whole .2 miles? It was another great race, incredibly well run and the gorgeous Marines everywhere just added to the experience

I'm headed out to ride the bike.  We'll see how far I get, it's cool and windy.  My hip flexors are not happy campers today.  So it will be an easy loop with minimal climbing and lots of stretching today.  Hope to get a short swim in too....depends on time.

Hey guys, I just updated the spreadsheet for some of the folks we haven't heard from and with the missing workouts added, we're at 89.7% as a team! We're looking really strong, now we just need to get those final miles in this week!

I checked my race history and this was definitely a stand-alone PR, but I can't seem to beat the PR I set during the NYC Tri at 50:29. I'll have to make that a goal for my next 10K.

Had a nice coffee, a big breakfast and am thinking a nap might be in order

I accidentally put my HRM strap in the dryer yesterday.  I think I killed the senors in it cause it said my HR was 00 my whole ride and I think one needs to be alive to be able to turn the cranks

I re wet the chest piece and now it's picking up.  i'm going to see what it does to swim.  It is inconsistent picking up in the pool but I want to see.

So, I want long bike pants.  A couple folks reccomend the bibs as opposed to regular long bike pants.  Ayone have any experience with pros/cons?  Cost wise pretty comparable on Nashbar.  THe pros I was given include they stay in place without feeling tight in the belly (course a couple guys who are clydesdales made that point so as a smaller person I don't know if that matters as much to me)
