I have some stuff that I should get done, but my brain is being incredibly sluggish.  I think that I will take a nap(45min-1hour) and then tackle the tasks.

Currently I just keep zoning out and periodically realizing that my eyes have been closed .

Just do what is absolutely 100% neccesary and catch up on sleep..and when you think you have had enough..have some more...

kns57 - 2009-01-12 1:06 PM How is your day going Cat? Getting all those Tri-girls ready for the race?

Not to bad - first days back are always kind of strange but Im feeling much more on to it and organised i must admit!

The girls seem mostly excited...although a few still need to be pushed in a pool or on a bike. The good thing is Im not worried about anyones fitness so whichever distance they are racing they will all finish...

Oh..and i just have it in writing that work will pay BOTH the entry fees and team shirts...all costs covered! I just have to make sure there is lots of photographic evidence and write up some sort of race report/training report etc

One last post...

I am a bit frustrated with myself.  I was putting up a shelf earlier and, because I didn't have a tape measure, I hung it parallel to the surface of my dresser instead of the ceiling.  It now hangs slightly lower on the right side-Just enough to really bug me.

I am hoping to fix it by adjusting the hooks on the shelving unit-I am not going to put two more screw holes in the wall.

I look forward to seeing the pic of the "team" in their shirts. And that really is good news about the company paying for the shirts and the entry fee! Awesome.

Are their different lengths of tri happening that day? Sprint, Oly??

I do that all the time.  I have a set of two pictures hung in my bedroom that don't line up.  It sucks.

Great. And when it comes to the run. Run/walk is acceptable. I have only walked in the ones that I have done. My goal this year is to be able to run a 5K on its own and then to be able to run it on a sprint. We shall see.

You will do great!

That's cool that work is footing the entry fee and the shirts!  Yeah, worth the effort to do a team pic and write up!
Maybe each participant could write a short piece of what entering and completing the race meant to them and you could somehow edit /compile them into one short article for whatever company newsletter goes out.

Last count I think it was 15...we had a couple pull out I think...we had 21 interested in the beginning but 2 of those I knew werent going to race... one got injured so she is out unfortunatley...

Then one is on holiday so we are trying desperately to get hold of her so she doesnt miss out...and there was one other who was still undecided.... so that would be 17 with those two.

Good tip Judi - Im pretty sure it will go up on the work intranet...maybe I can get some humourous quotes etc to compliment the article which will basically be like a blog entry...

That is really cool. The two races that I have signed up for this year (so far) I'm doing with another girl from work. But, we work at two different branchs, and live 40 miles apart, so we don't get to train together. But we are now accountable to each other to train since we have signed up for the races.

And Yanti is eating healthy today, and Mel went for a nap...she needs LOTS and LOTS of sleep so whenever we see her we need to send her to bed...Judi is getting her bike fit tomorrow (I think) and umm Dee is doing her best to post pad when she turns up...
