Just wanted to chek in and let everyone know that I conquered the Beast yesterday. That is what I nicknamed him and he did not seam to mind. I didn't get out of training until after 10 last night due to nighttime and low light qualifications. I watched a good portion of the guys go before me and decided that rather than drag him by his rescue strap on the top of his vest that it would be easier to put my chest against his back and hold him under the arms and pick him mostly off the ground so there was less friction of him draggin. Once I got my momentum going there was no stopping me until I made it. Then I fell on my back and he landed on top of me. JUST THINK. AFTER THAT. A TRIATHLON WILL SEEM EASY. GREAT THINKING LINCOLN! Heh, after that, I think MOST things will seem easy. LOL |

Heh, BT is *the* place to goof off. (And I ought to know. LOL) I don't know if cats have super powers, but my dog sure does. He can hear a piece of cheese falling on the floor at a distance of 500 miles. He can open a closed door in less than 0.5 seconds. And he can catch a tennis ball in the air, no matter how badly I throw it. Edited by D001 2009-03-13 2:17 PM |

Based on my previous experience I got to try out early and become a quazi member of the team. I am not officially eligable until I am off probation after a year. I will still have to try out again when I am able but I get to train with the team and just not respond to call outs.

Of course it was only a mile but I am going to wear them tomorrow for my race and see how they do for 3.1 miles. Hopefully they will be just as good. I did wear socks though. I'll try them without socks at a future time. Super excited! |
