Nice run this morning - it was "crisp" with frost over all the cars, but really nice weather.  Dressed appropriately so no problems like I had on Saturday.  I ran a little slower than usual because it was really dark with not too many streetlights and no moon to speak of.  Pretty surprised that my heart rate stayed really low and my pace wasn't too slow.  I have to remember that for my other runs.

Tonight is a swim and maybe just a little time on a spin bike to get the legs used to it.

LT Threshold Class was canceled yesterday - so, I had a rest day.
I'm hoping for 20 miles on the bike tonight followed by a 5 mile run.

Yeah, I was a little bummed too.
Apparently the park was overbooked this week, so we'll start the same deal (2 days a week x 4 weeks) starting next Tuesday.

Here's a link to the trainer putting on the class: http://www.noboundariesfitness.net

The problem I have with "rest days" is that my diet goes to pot (I have a big issue with eating while bored). I could probably go for days without eating as long as I am busy... but, as soon as I'm bored, I can't seem to get through 10 minutes without snacking on something!

Good for you!  That's a loss; right?

Could you send some of that motivation my way, please....

went for a real short walk/run to test out my right heel. Felt "ok" most of the time, but I can still feel the pain.

jarvy01 - 2011-03-02 7:22 AM I started a core program that's kicking my butt.  My whole midsection feels so sore!!!!  Easy day today anyway.....run/walk intervals on the treadmill & nothing tonight except a warm bath.

Can you share your core program? Are you doing it at home?

What's on the schedule for today?

Its super cold here this morning so I'm heading to the gym for a 45 minute run and then a 90 minute trainer ride tonight.

It's March - I thought it was supposed to start getting warm.

So I guess the work with the therapist is paying off.  One I ran a sub 8 minute mile pace yesterday on my run w/o really trying.  Felt good as long as I concentrated on dampening the impact and not bouncing.  After my run I was sore for most the day sitting at my desk.  After the kids went to bed I did 30-40 minutes of stretching, foam rolling, and icing.  Then threw a compression sleeve on the knee and elevated my legs until I passed out on the sofa.  This morning turned into an impromptu off day after sleeping through my alarm, but the knee feels pretty good so I'm not as bummed as I would be.

Good job man.  You'll be in the 100s in no time.

Oh and my wife would like to have a word with anyone who posts up pics of new bikes and feeds into my obsession.  Thanks.

Bummer Steve. Listen to your body, don't push it - it's not worth s lifetime of injury.
