Veteran 940 Citrus Heights, CA | Subject: RE: Yanti & Lynn: Manatee Madness Mentor Group CLOSED No trainer for me today--the low price model was gone--cheapest I could find was $160--which I don't have right now...Stupid clearance items! I did put the clip on aerobars I had purchased on my bike though. I'll be riding on Thurs, so we'll see how they feel. Apart from that, I made it to the gym, did a 20 mile ride, and then repaired the minute little rips in my wetsuit...I am now all set for my season...if only the local lake would fill up. |

I have since upgraded the exhaust to Vance and Hines Straight Shots and forward controls. I love the feel of the deep rumbling and thunder sound of the bike. (yes, I was the little boy who always had the most baseball cards taped to his tires when I was a kid). Believe it or not they do sell racks for motorcycles that allow me to carry my tri bike. I'm thinking of getting one this spring. Imagine the look of my P2 or P3 in tow all decked out with race wheels cruising down the highway! Haters gonna hate but I love it!! |

Good luck in Melbourne Yanti, so proud to be in your group, sharing your insanity. That's why I got rid of mine. I sold it to a friend so that I could always entertain the idea that "I can ride it whenever I want" but I haven't and honestly probably wont. Dan-ger-ous! |

The only part I don't understand is the 5x3' w/1'RI, I get ride 5 sets of 3 minutes but what does w/1' RI mean? It means one minute rest interval, but "rest" on a bike probably means low-resistance just-turning-pedals-over as opposed to completely stopping. |

I'm just thankful that my workouts don't look like that! Mine are a lot more English-like, for example: ride 90 min (z2) with 2x10 min @ TT pace with 6 min between |

Coastal Carolina | Subject: RE: Yanti & Lynn: Manatee Madness Mentor Group CLOSED Happy friday Manatees!
Enjoying, kind of, an unexpected day off, woke up to rain streaming around/through a light fixture/kitchen ceiling on sunday and finally got someone to come to take a look today but I had to take the day off to get him here as the wife and I are both dayshift this week and, well, a roof is kind of important we decided. So I plan to get a swim in since I forgot about the YMCA using my gym pool in the evenings for practice during the week. Then get the bike cleaned up and put together for a metric century ride tomorrow that a co worker puts on to benefit a Special education class at a local high school. Should be a good time and give me a good idea of where I am at for the HIM relay next month. What does everyone have planned for this weekend?
Yanti when do you leave for IM Melbourne, and how is the taper madness going? Edited by Tripopo 2012-03-09 9:38 AM |

Yanti when do you leave for IM Melbourne, and how is the taper madness going? happy Friday indeed! Have fun on your 'metric century' and forgive me my blonde moment when i ask if that is a 100km ride/race. I also need to know all about Yanti's travel plans and the date of the actual race. I think i'm more excited than she is about it, and she's pretty loopy at the best of times. |

So this is my itinerary. I let it slip in Tri Talk the other day that I'll actually be doing three races, not just one. I know. I'm nuts. (Loopy at the best of times hahaha ... ) Wed 21 March Arrive Melbourne afternoon SUN 25 MARCH IRONMAN MELBOURNE Taper madness is great. I'm bunkered down in my little house on the hill, trying not to go anywhere and touch too many things or be caught indoors with large groups of people. |
