ceilidh - 2012-02-07 9:17 AM My internet is wonky today!

Want me to come fix it?

yes please!

I'm not doing anything here, and that is a network issue, so it is right up my alley.

I talked with India and I can get on the internet, however, my e-mail suddenly won't recognize my password. Only in Thunderbird. I can get it on the web. Silly silly silly

What kind of internet connection do you have? DSL? Cable? Dial-up?

DSL. It was a password issue all around. I now know how to fix it. The nice man from India gave me info on how to fix it myself. He really was very nice.

Good

deehtz - 2012-02-07 9:57 AM BTW  Good Morning Ghoulies!

Good morning, Dee. Do you have anything good doing on today?

Coffee this morning with friends.  Then a run at the lake on this last day of sunshine before the rain come back tomorrow.  That is if the wind isn't too strong, it is supposed to kick in today.  Then work this afternoon.  Not  a bad day at all  Smile

It is a little farther than what I drive now, but it is all 2 lane roads, I won't have to get on the highway like I do now. I'll have flexible hours, something I don't have now. I'll have a laptop, I can work from home in bad weather, if I'm under the weather, or if I have an appt or something, benefit I don't have now. Bigger company which offers merit bonuses, tuition assistance, if our contract ends they will try to find everyone new positions within the company. My boss is in New Jersey, there is one other network person where I'll be, there is also an office in St. Louis. My new boss is going to send me an email with a bunch of info this week, then I'll also need to call him, he said probably 30-45 minute call with details of what he wants me to do and stuff like that. I'll have to go pee in a cup sometime in the next couple of days. Just need to get paperwork done soon. I can't wait to get out of here.

My friend who isn't talking to me yet, but I know that she eventually will, works there. She told me before that the people aren't bad. I have some friends that work a couple of buildings down, where I used to work. I can always go visit them, too.

sounds fantastic.  Maybe you can get them to let you telecommute one day a week on a regular basis.  Even so, it all sounds like a big improvement over the job you are now leaving.

I know. I'm all fluffy, and funny, and lovable. She's worth it. I'll give her space and wait. She's been with me in 3 different hospitals when no one else was there for me. I'll let her work through whatever she needs to work through.
