10 years.. and we have a 9yo son.. so that complicates the picture..

getting a divorce from my ex was the best thing she and i ever did (besides the kids)...

kids were happier... we were happier.. and we both did better financially... thats all i have to say about that...

x2

x3 - but I didn't have kids.

But I will STILL say do everything you can to stick together in this 'disposable' society of ours. My first wife and I tried, she didn't want to continue, so since both of us didn't want it - it ended.

I'm better off for it, but if it's worth saving, it's worth the effort. But I would never tell anyone to stay in something they were not happy with if they did everything they could to make it better. There are some things that are just "no win".

I certainly didn't want the divorce, but she wanted the guy she's sleeping with now more than she thought it was important to keep the family together. Its as simple as that. She, of course, has her version of events and that's fine, but what it boils down to is she dumped me for someone else.

That was you - and what worked for you is not the solution for EVERYONE else - but it probably IS the solution for some.  There are other options, and they should be explored prior to making that decision.

do you ever worry that it's going to get back to your boss that you always leave after he leaves and not when the office closes?

Sheot - many times I'm still the last one out.  Can't beat some of these guys to the door fast enough.

But it really doesn't happen that often - and most of the time I get trapped by TAN and stay past 5:00 anyway.

I'm all talk - no action....

Not if they know what's good for them!!!!!

You know, I have to push myself out the door to run... but I can always get on the bike and not need to hammer...

See, I think there's a big difference between cyclists and triathletes.

Cyclists ride no matter what. I think many - not all - but certainly many - triathletes would not otherwise ride a bike but its part of the event. But then again, the same thing can be said for swimming or running. Everyone has favorite and non-favorite parts.

I don't mind riding outside - the feeling of moving, speed and the outdoors.  In particular, MTN biking.

Today has to be a trainer ride - and two hours of it to boot.....

Lets call it.....  penance.....

Well I find that riding is much more enjoyable when I'm doing it for me, then when I'm doing it for time (i.e. training for a race).  But I make both a poor cyclist and triathlete, so take my experience for what it's worth.

Now see, I love to ride the drainer. I'd probably just cycle race only if I was good at it, but I'm not and I see no point in killing myself in something to finish last and be laughed at by everyone.

I don't mind killing myself to finish last and be laughed at by everyone.

Cuz I finished, and that's better than everyone who didn't even try it...

If they laugh, at least I made them happy with my entertainment....

"Killing" myself also lets me lose weight, and live healthier - both are good despite race results...  And my wife likes it A LOT.....

Anyway - it's going to be me, the iPod, Harry Potter book, and the trainer for a two hour date in 30 minutes.

Later

Sprint_DA - 2008-07-28 5:32 PM By the way, Sharkie...funny thing is she's in the living room right now. Hahahahaha I'm an idiot.

She'd better be exercising, or something. What!? Seriously? Are you just messing with us? Seriously are we going to need some sort of TAN intervention? 'Cause some of us don't live too far from you.

Yeah, she rode her bike over we swam she's on the way home now.  Said something about I should go out and bring her dinner.  And then that I should come over later.  Instead I think I'm going to call the other girl that I'm trying to meet and see when we can get together.  I'm sure she (K) will call at some point and see why I didn't A. bring her dinner, and B come over to hang out.  I may ask her at that point where she's intending this to go this time, because at this point I don't want to be anything more than friends. (If that).

I have a hard cover of the whole series and book 3 on tape (yes cassette).  What are those books doing in storage, that is a sad thing.

Dude, I'm not sure if make sense for you to even be friends with this girl.  Seems to me that she has some sort of passive-aggressive/manipulative thing going on.  Can you honestly name things that you get out of being in a friendship with her (just curious)?

The phone numbers of the ladies of TAN?

Her parent's basement to sleep in before my race on the 10th.

Seriously no, but I'm not letting her manipulate me anymore, so it is more of an entertainment thing at this point; I guess I may be the bad person now where I'm watching someone try to manipulate me but I'm doing the opposite of everything she's hoping for.

hey... it's been good fodder for TAN.. i've enjoyed the soap opera I still want to call Sprint while she is with him and have him flirt with me over the phone...

Which reminds me...did someone from Wisconsin, or a Wisconsin area code text message me a few minutes ago?  I can see that this is going to be a fun game...I'll call it "Guess which TANer texted me" (Should there be one N in TANer or two?)

I could give you the whole saga, but its long and boring. She's bought Davis the paperbacks and that's fine. Let's talk about something MORE positive!

Fine, but you pick the topic, 'cause things I think would be happy seem to involve sadness for you.

It wasn't me, because (a) I don't have your number and (b) I have a northern Colorado area code.

I believe it's spelled with two 'n's.
