enders_shadow - 2008-11-30 6:00 PM Evening, Nibbs... I am embarassed to admit that I am very much enjoying Younger Monkey's Christmas Present...the in-laws bought her "My First Dance Dance Revolution". I'm a mighty fine DDR'r.

oh *Gasp*!!!

Is it the Disney TV plug-n-play??? Got that for my 5yo last year.  He's no Barishnikov that's for sure   But yes, I love it

Hi NIbbs...

Long time no talk...

I've been busy getting ready for Christmas and confernece this week.  Seems that life has sped up instead of slowing down.  I'm having issues keepin gup.

Good news is that Friday night I ordered my laptop and wireless modem, so hopefully after I get back from Conferenc I will be able to spend more time online.  I have a sneaky feeling however that hubby will not appreciate my typing in bed

Oh Kristen..

I tried a blended a wine Thanksgiving... it sucked.... it was some kind of blend from a vineyard in Cali that supports homeless animals...

Good cause, bad wine...

I'm trying another tonight.  Meanwhile, I'm also chilling some white, just in case.

It's the plug & play, but it's not disney - it's disco music! Younger is 4 - she doesn't quite get it but she has a blast jumping around on it.

I have to admit - there is such a thing as a bad wine. But I manage to avoid them, generally.

No wine for me tonight - I've drank so much wine since Wednesday...

Yep - I had the same problem today - NO MORE TURKEY, please.

Instead I made a nice beef stroganoff from some of my local beef and an autumn salad. It was so nice to eat "light" again.

Of course, I topped it off a second ago with a pumpkin cliff bar for dessert.

I sacrificed my turkey carcass to the plastic bin gods. It was time. I was gonna make turkey soup, too, but there was a mishap involving my boyfriend sleeping in.

Spokes - 2008-12-01 12:42 AM He slept inside the turkey carcass? That must've been interesting.

No no no

He was supposed to fetch me and belongings and leftovers and all from the house I was sitting at, but he overslept, so I just threw all the leftovers away so the folks wouldn't come home to a burgeoning fridge.

kns57 - 2008-12-01 6:54 AM I noticed it was pretty quiet on Nibbs this past week. Everyone must have been traveling, eating turkey and shopping their hearts out. LOL

Well it was a big week on the USA!!!

Speaking of shopping... I only have ONE more present yet to buy - for my Mum.. apart from that I am D-O-N-E for christmas...

I *might* get a little something extra for my brother as I have something for him and his gf combined but since he is going to be at mine for chrissie I thought I should get hims something small all of his own...

But Im pretty happy with myself... tis Dec 1 and I am DONE!

Me too, I got my last two presents done in Mexico. Now I have to focus on the stocking stuffers. Sometimes that is harder and will be espically so since this year Frank and I are dieting so no chocolate in the stockings.

Hi Nibblets!

I have no Christmas plans. I'll be dog/housesitting the weekend before, but not sure what I'll be doing Christmas proper. No need to feel sorry for myself, though ... someone always invites me, or I will invite myself to a shelter or center and hand out food!

I've generally been too poor to give out Christmas gifts, and to so many wonderful friends, so what I do is make  unbelievably scrumptious yet low-fat/Splenda-subbed banana bread, tie it in red cellophane with a bow--every year everyone still asks if there will be nana bread.
