Hmmm, this is an excerpt from Daves blog...I don't know that he will appreciate me posting it, but then again it is in and internet blog...he is already putting it out there for the world to see.
All right I have reached the ultimate in bachelorhood laziness. I haven't done laundry in approximately forever, as anyone who has been riding with me lately can attest. So last night as I was wearing my last clean pair of underwear I decided something had to be done. But not laundry. Instead I went to Walmart at 12:30 am to buy all new clothes! But Walmart clothes because I'm not made of money. And because I also shop at 12:30 am. I also bought butter, relish, and a watermelon. Bachelorhood is strong in this one.

Oh my goodness!  He needs to move back in with his mother...or get himself a girlfriend to keep him in line.    I don't foresee either of these things happening-at least not anytime soon.

Innocent

Morning, NIBBERS!

A colleague that was still on probation got the boot today.  I'm taking up some duties that he had to get some stuff caught up.  Joy.

Well, if he was on probation, was he getting much done anyway? Are they going to hire someone new?

He was getting stuff done, just not getting the documentation in the Administrators' approved format, and, some other stuff wasn't accomplished in a timely fashion.  I can see this as a fault from both sides (management), honestly.

Well, on one hand -- it's nice that she was riding it. On the other, well, how in the world did she do that?

What's happening with it?

And is it just COJ / TAN? (Because I don't see any issues in this forum.)

It's mostly been TAN.  If you post sometimes, and click "return to thread", it takes you back.  But, it doesn't go to the last post (yours), it just goes to the top of the thread and your post doesn't show up right away.  It's weird.

Is 18 miles a long enough run before a marathon?  I'm signed up for Richmond Marathon on 11/14.  Today, a friend offered me a Marine Corps Marathon entry for 10/25 (he's hurt).  I'm supposed to do 20 miles that day and am doing 18 miles before that.  I've done a marathon before, so I know what I'm in for.  I don't know if 18 miles is a long enough long run, though.

Ruh Roh!  That don't look good.

I think it will cost more to fix than it's worth.  Front fork is a mess, saddle is crunched...needs new spokes cause the year we got the hybrids Schwinn got a bad batch and they're rusting out from the middle

My garage is full of broken down hybrids.  We got new tires for one kid but the brake cable snapped too.

The one who wrecked my bike is in need of spokes and a new seat post.

Mine will need all the above repairs and my husband's needs spokes.

Can you rebuild any one of those with spare parts from the others to save some cost?
