The Ghoulies are taking off the pounds in February!!! (Page 62)

The party boat got blown way off course and overturned because of the huge winds we had. 30 MPH and gusts that were downright hurricane ish. We have a wind gauge and I saw one at 58 MPH.

so I huddled with the critters while my DH partied in Raleigh with a horde of friends.
I tried not to make him feel too bad about that...

So what we had yesterday... if I can remember my scanning is :
Katie lost 2 of something  but is NOT looking to get them back . (Congrats Katie)
Wood peckers pf the piliated variety were spotted, motorcycles discussed ( my DH had a BMW, too), flying bikes (that one is odd), red bikes (my choice), Tom cooking dinner for the Ghoulies and running away with Stacie. Snowshoing and some with too much snow and some with not enough and everyone loves their kids- especially the dancing singing ones and the ones fresh from Disney but enough is enough and they need to continue with their education asap.

I think that is it.

MORNING GHOULIES....

already the day seems/feels better.

still no school, so the Wild Things are home, but alls quiet (for now)

the Y is opening at Noon.  can we all say YAY!  ill be able to get in a MUCH NEEDED SWIM today.

my husband made his way into work today, so wont be underfoot.

im meeting an 'old flame' from Highschool for lunch today    actually he's one my bestest friends from Jr High/Highschool. 

he took me to homecoming when i didnt have a 'real' date. 

we kissed once but decided it was more like kissing our siblings than a kiss, kiss.

he's THAT kinda of 'old flame' 

i shared with him what was going down and he was so genuinely concerned.  it made my heart melt, truly.  he's taking me to this very nice outta the way place.  quaint and quiet.  i told him we could SNOG in a corner booth.  :D


honestly.  GHOULIES.

i'm one of the most fortunate people on the planet.  i have some of the BESTEST people in my circle (present company absolutely included)

people that just love on me something fierce.

who are there for me in REAL&MEANINGFUL ways.

and though there are times that i struggle (i do, take yesturday/last eve just as an example) and there are times when i struggle that i feel very much alone, its not long before someone 'shows up' with a word of support&encouragement, a loving gesture, or just being lovingly present inthemidstof what im going through.

and when they do, its not long before i realize im OK.

and im gonna be better than fine.

im gonna make it through all of this.

im gonna make it up to the top of this rockface.

and oh what awaits on the other side of this.....

GLORIOUS!

as my favorite President of our tri club always says....

Hi everyone

Another day watching a movie on the trainer is in store. Not sure what I want to watch yet, any suggestions?

The kids are going stir crazy, I'm going to kick them outside once my husband gets up the road here with the skid loader to try and clear the driveway.

I am contemplating going or a snowy hike back through the fields later today just to get out of the house. I will wait until later today to make that decision.

I can't wait to get to the Y to swim. Maybe tomorrow they'll be open, hopefully.

Yes, the winds have calmed down. Just getting to the teens MPH today.
When the winds really get going here, because I am completely surrounded by mountains,  they sound like freight trains, or better a continual jet taking off. You can hear the huge ones coming at you long before they hit. It is primal and all the animals react to it. Both the dog and the cat spent the evening with all hairs standing. Looked like I had pet porcupines.

If you haven't been there before they offer 1 item at a time for 30 minutes, or until it's sold out, whichever comes first. Some days there isn't much good, today I've seen a couple cycling jerseys, but I've limited myself to 1... so far.


I was pretty excited about it. I don't have much cycling gear and it was a great deal!

Ahh, dear, you keep saying that but I disagree. There are all types of Queens out there.
