The bike is his strength so he should do well there!

Finished my tri this morning, had a good time, but didn't hit my goals.  I wanted 21 mph on the bike and I was some where in the low to mid 20's and I wanted to be in the 22:XX for the run and was in the 23:3X range.  The run course was changed and the announce distance was 3.2 so that was part of the reason.  Its all good though!

Not too bad, although I think the swim was uphill both directions! Wink

I thought that was an isolated phenomennon to a pool we have here.

Guess it's contagious.

Definitely a good, solid ride for Ice. Finally have a split for the first run segment at 12:43 pace for the first 8.9 miles, so he is moving along nicely. Keep it up, Ice!

Had my Tri yesterday!

446 out of 490  Total Time: 2:10:52

Swim: 235/490   20:56    T1: 4:07  Bike: 455/490   56:46    T2: 2:11  Run: 464/490   46:54

I kicked butt (for me) in the swim.  There was a bit of a run from the beach to the transition area which counted towards the swim time.  The bike ride was awesome.  The hills weren't bad.  The weather was glorious.  We passed by some cows.  Then there was the run.  I think it was more of a hike than a run.  It was a trail run (which I knew).  So - I am pretty happy with my run time considering how wobbly my legs were getting off the bike and considering it was through the woods, over roots and sticks and mud.

I am really, really, REALLY glad I chose an all-women's tri for my first.  It was WAY less intimidating than it would have been.  (no offense to the men here)

I will try to get around to a race report...

It is SO COOL to be able to say I did a TRIATHLON!  Whoo hoo!

Was it what I expected?  I expected I would be way more nervous than I was!  Which was nice.  Even with all the training I did, I thought doing all three at the same time would be so much harder than it was.  It certainly wasn't easy - but it wasn't TOO bad, either!  Lol!  (if that makes sense?)

Anyone else having trouble viewing that link?
I realize it's a cut and past but when I do that it seems to log me out and require I re-enter my credentials, over and over.
